Today someone gave me a pair of trousers for my son.

He really likes them which is a miracle as he is 16 and very fussy about clothes.:D
  • Hiya, on Thursday i went to my daughters school fair and won some toiletries on the tombola, a fcuk body butter that i have kept but the lavender salt scrub and boots botanicals spray oil had to go so I gave them to another parent.

3 pork loin chops, my DM bought them thinking they were chicken ;). I gave her cupboard under the sink a good turn out, now she can find what she's looking for!

I came home from my Dds tonight with the left over 'roasties' from dinner plus some left over veg which I will use tomorrow night to cobble together a 'free' meal with, plus it saves me having to sort out veg for dinner.
its all covered in foil and in the fridge, waste not want not and I would have been horrified if she had binned it there's enough for me, but as she has 6 in her family not enough left over for her tribe.
Mind you I did donate to her an electric meat/bread slicer that I have only ever used once that I bought in a fit of foolishness a couple of years ago

A neighbour is promising(having heard that Mum passed away)to give me some homegrown vegetables when she passes by(tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage...)who knows I'll just have to see what is left in the porch...

I wish neighbours around here would share their meals(I know that I would)

I'm not a bad cook either...

I gave a neighbour a dozen and half eggs the other week because I knew I'd never use them in time.

Why don't you invite someone round for lunch? Some neighbours have a regular night where they take turns eating at one persons house, one brings the starter, on the main and one the pud. Might be a welcome idea if you have other folk nearby who are on their own?

I'd do it but all my neighbours are couples and I have two ninja toddlers at the moment. Doesn't make for good socialising, sadly...
