my smashing eldest DD came this afternoon and brought me a box of strawberrys,a small punnet of cherries a little pot of cream, two big bottles of pepsi, and a bag full of YS stuff that she had got from Mr T's and wouldn't take a penny for them
About 10-12 meal-builder stuff which I spent wrapping in cling film and freezing for later on this month.I think because their was big tennis match on Mr T's decided that as the shop was quite empty then they would reduce a lot of stuff .I now have in my freezer
2 x 8oz rump steaks
2 x herb and lemon chicken portions
3 cheese and onion pasties (great for lunches )
1 x gingsters chicken and bacon pasty
1 x turkey leg (I will cook it next week and probably use the meat as a curry)
2 x chicken tikka portions
480 gms of smoked back bacon
2 x cod portions in bread crumbs.I make that around a dozen dinners and at least 5 or 6 lunches.
I am fully stocked with fruit and she also brought me some salad bits that she thought I might like .Bless her she is a good lass and said it didn't come to a lot and she likes to know that my freezer is full.Bless her I had a job getting it all in actually but she meant well so I thanked her and made her a large cup of coffee and she took some fruit cake home that I had baked this morning She loves fruit cake ,but only mine and not shop bought stuff.I don't think I'll need to shop at all on Monday as there is nothing I need :j:j:j0 -

I don't get given much, but my husband is a veritable gold mine for people giving him stuff!
He does property restoration and Painting & Decorating.
He has been given a marble fireplace
Tons of books for me
Plum chutney
A complete homebrew kit
£500 of ceramic Italian tiles
and last week a pair of thick handmade Laura Ashley fabric curtains for our winter front room.
