I'll see if I can dig out the Medion XP Home disc for you later. Useful if you need to repair or run a clean install.
Also a good idea to go to the Medion Support website here or here in order to download any Drivers and Applications, so as to save them to disc for future usage.

Just to update. Since I uninstalled AGV and installed Avast, uninstalled other bits and pieces advised here I have had no blue screen crashes.

Many thanks for the help here. It has made my life much easier :-)

Oh no, had a blue screen crash after weeks of using Avast with no problems. This Is depressing :-( also, the PC doesn't always boot up on pressing the on button at the front. The power comes on but the screen is unresponsive as it doesnt go into boot mode. I have to press it a few times before it works. No idea what is happening there either.
