that are and thats about normal for a OEM copy of windows - although you have to remember that you can only install this on one computer, if you ever plan on installing it on another computer would would need to buy the retail copy with are usualy around £120
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

This is ok but changing the i3 to i5 as its much better so last longer. And getting a slightly better motherboard. And last, but definitely not least, upgrade the PSU to Xigmatek 400W or better yet pay an extra £5 for the 500W Xigmatek which will let you upgrade without replacing PSU if you want to in the future. :D

    Seismo i3 2120 (seismo2120)

    Customizations:
    CPU: 2083 - NEW! Intel Core i5 3450
Operating System: No Operating System - I will install my own
    Motherboard: NEW! Asus P8B75-M LX
    RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333mhz (2x 4GB)
    Hard Drive: 1TB S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s
    Optical Drive: 22x DVD±RW DL S-ATA
Graphics card: NEW! NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 1GB
    Sound card: Onboard 7.1 Audio
    Case: NEW! EZCool Mesh ATX
    PSU: 500W Xigmatek
    Warranty: 3 Year SureCare Warranty
    £411.69
And £5 discount by email if you register and wait a day so £406.69

So a top spec computer which will last a very long time. :money:

So all in all when I have paid postage and for Windows 7 I will be near the £500 mark. Not what I want

If this doesn't work (should do though). Then I was wondering; do you need the graphics card, won't the integrated intel one do? Also, why not downgrade the hard drive to 500GB as you mentioned something about adding your medion's 500 GB hard drive?

Or downgrade RAM to 1x4 GB, and upgrade when you've got more money.

Or if you're reeeeally desperate, then downgrade to i3, but that should be an absolute last resort

    Just a few suggestions.

    Hope that helps.

This thread has been going since May and after four months the OP is still dithering about buying a new PC!

This only shows that the OP does not need a new PC :)

No, I really do but it is getting more apparent now as It struggles more and more as well as blue screen shut downs. I just want to make sure I get the best I can as I am editing photos and sounds.

and as i posted a long time ago the best for your money would probably be that one from Dino (the duke), which has now been superseeded by the stego

yes intel have the crown for being faster processors, but on a budget especially for things such as photo editing the amd fx4100 will usualy beat the equyivelent intel as the intel in that price brack is a duel core i3, and most editing porogram will make use of multi core so the quad core fx4100 tends to be better, matched up with the other upgrades i said about would have given you a very good budget encoding and editing system

all this being said you have waited around for that long you might as well wait for the amd trinity desktop cpus to arrive in a month or so (rumoured oct 1st) and see what they do in the benchmarks plus what they do to the prices

If you had followed any of the previous advice, you might not need one.
