Oh well, I've had a lovely morning and drove home thinking how much I'm smiling at the moment. That's been dampened by my largest creditor saying 'No' they've asked me to ring them to discuss, pah, not blooming likely. The funniest thing is that they actually thought the amount I was offering was the amount that was on offer to everyone not just their share, so considerably more than I'd actually offered, about 75% of the amount outstanding.
Numpties! Just as well they said no really.
I'm going to write back to them, put the figure in black & white for them and ask them to reconsider.
No news from anyone else which is very frustrating. Not losing heart though.

Updated letter to H^lifax done. They were the company I had the most problem with at the start when going down the self-managed DMP route. It took ages to get them to respond to my letters and even longer to agree an affordable amount. I've decided not to counter offer as they've declined more than I offered in the first place - they actually want as much as I want written off rather than the other way around - numpty numpties.
My next step will be to go down the CCA route which I haven't done so far but am seriously considering now. I'll try this letter first, see if that brings any results, I've included the likely outcome, (bankruptcy), if they refuse and made sure its completely clear how much I'm offering.
I'm hoping that they thought I was offering them 75%, could actually afford more, as we all know debtors rarely go in with their highest offer and therefore thought they'd try for more. If the worst comes to the worst, I'll continue to pay them what I am now over the next 2 years, using the F&F money and then write to them telling them I can't afford to pay them any more and to do their worst.
funnily I was googling that predator and came up with some old posts re F&Fs and them. Gosh some posters are just darn right rude to people in final difficulty - so judgemental. I'm so glad people on this forum aren't like that.Targets

Oh well Mr T has said no too! They've told me they are prepared to accept almost a full settlement - pah, haven't got it so they can't have that.
No going quite so well after all
Still not going to give up though
Next step, send a revised SOA to H^lifax & Mr T showing going forward can only afford £1 pm. Then in a couple of months I will go back with a revised offer
Still hopeful for the other 5Targets

Thanks Brizzle
I haven't quite given up yet.
out of my 5 remaining predators, (well 4 actually as 2 are with the same person), only 1 has been passed to a debt collectors. Then the one with 2/3 accounts has been passed to their internal debt collectors. The others have remained in house but all 5/6 accounts have defaulted.
As I actually hadn't yet sent my response to H^lifax, (printer problems), I've revised it. I've asked them to reconsider, reiterated my offer, explained where the money is coming from, (family member), and enclosed an updated SOA to show that there is insufficient money to make any monthly payments based on our income going forward.
I've done the same for Mr T, who also refused my offer to settle OH's account at the same rate, (so same sent iro that account too).
If this doesn't work, I'm going to drop my payments to £1pm in the hope that they go to debt collectors who may be more amenable to offers in the future.
In the meantime I'm going to forget about it all for now, stay positive, after all I weathered this awful storm in 2011 and keep that smile on my face.
I had a lovely day with DGDs yesterday, DGD1 has grown up so much over the summer, whereas DGD2 has turned into a mini DGD1 and is often naughty. Still my angel though. DGS didn't want to talk to me yesterday but cried when I left. I think he was overtired as DDIL is back and forth from 2 schools, 3 times in the morning and again in the afternoon so they are not getting much time in the house. DS is working hard after recently being promoted to store manager.
