Have a good night know what you mean about working and being tired. Gets a bit wearing after a while. Your life mirrors mine again my HIM was shocking today , snouty and moving the goal posts and wanting stuff done yesterdayStart info Dec11

Hi both,
I had a quiet evening watching tv and avoided laptop and phone for most of the time. DS was texting me to ask my advice and in the end I told him I was watching tv so would get back to him today. I bet it came as a shock as normally I drop what I'm doing to run to his aid but yesterday, for some reason, I decided it wouldn't hurt him to wait. (It wasn't anything urgent anyway).
Today I am working from home and have been hard at it for the last 2 hours as I was awake early. In fact I didn't sleep very well last night at all, don't know why.
OH is working until 2pm and then going shopping so I won't see him much before 3pm. As I said, he's now working all weekend which I'm not impressed with after our chat last weekend but tbh he just never really listens. If I'd known I was going to be on my own all weekend I would have gone to my mum's. However, probably best not to as my car is playing funny s0ds at the moment and flashing its engine light at me intermittently. Oh well OH o/t will have its uses.
Today won't be a nsd as I'm nipping out later to buy some cheap eggs for the girls, one for myself may just fall into the trolley too. My diet is going nowhere fast at the moment but I've decided to give myself a break and get back on it after Easter.
Hope you all have a good day.
Chat later

Well most definitely not a nsd. After thinking about the problem with my car and the fact that we are using it next weekend to drive 160 miles, I thought I would google the fault.
Then I decided on the advice I found to call out the AA - fault discovered, £52 bill presented and paid, fault repaired. I've told OH that I think he should cover the cost but he did not look best pleased.
He has also just informed me that not only is he working tomorrow but it is all day, 16 hours, so clearly he does not think our date night was important. At the moment he is off on Monday so maybe I will rejig it to Sunday night, although at the moment I don't know if I can be bothered either.
In other financial news, letter from H^lif^x solicitor confirming they will accept my reduced offer of repayment again to be reviewed when they choose.

Sorry to hear date night has been postponed. Maybe you should enjoy a nice glass of wine in his absence. Hope your DGC enjoy their eggs and you enjoy yours.
Well done on making DS wait until the next day to receive your pearls of wisdom. Go granny xDiary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Thanks dear Mrs F
Date night postponed to next weekend when we are going away for 4 nights freebie
OH seems to have absorbed what I've said to him recently about the state of our relationship and appears to be making more effort. This is as a result of a Granny mega strop Sunday morning, which certainly made me feel better and him sit up and listen
No Easter Eggs in Granny's house this weekend. I picked up 2 cheap toys for the girls a while ago and finished off their new knitwear so decided they didn't need anything more.
DS and DDIL seemed to be grateful that I'd been sensible as DGDs had enough chocolate to see them through for a while. I know my purse/bank was grateful too, initially I felt mean but realised I was just being silly
DGD2 paraded around the house in her red riding hood jacket, looking like all her Christmases had come at once. It was delightful. DGD1 had me giggling when she realised she had the same jumper as OH and was pleased as punch, as was he
Had a lovely phone call from them both earlier as they have gone away for a few days. DGD2's first call to me and she couldn't get her story out fast enough, it was truly one of those remember forever calls from them both, they sounded so happy
I'm working from home tomorrow and Wed, in the office on Thurs, home Fri am and then off until Wed. HE is off all week so I won't be too stressed by work this week. I'll miss seeing my gorgeous girls for a week though but will make up for it when I get back
1st nsd already

Ooh Granny, sounds like you've got a great 'date' treat to look forward to - it's paid off being flexible and understanding, even if you had to have a rant before OH took the hint!
Enjoy your time working from home (without any stress caused by HIM).
It won't be long before you see your DGC again.0 -
You sound so much happier granny. I'm so glad for you. I love the way you treasure your DGC it makes my day to read about them. They will always remember growing up with you. I still treasure the memories I have of gardening and cooking with grandma, always finished up with a cuddle and story on her lap. Magical....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I second Piquant. Your post sounds more upbeat and the smile is shining through your post.
Your DGC are really lucky to have such a wonderful, caring grandma.

Thanks Mrs F I am feeling much brighter at the moment so am glad it shows in my posts. I'm not normally a moaning minnie but the start of this year seems to have been very hard.
Sunday morning was very volcano like in my house with me erupting in a real fly off the handle temper. OH just sat in amazement as I just don't do this and seemed to take it all in. He's making a real effort at the moment, let's hope it lasts.
I had just had enough of the lack of emotion in our relationship and felt I may actually be better off alone. I just wanted to run away, give up my job, go bankrupt and get on with my life as I really wondered why I was struggling to keep this roof over our heads when it was such an unhappy place to be. We have a long way to go but hopefully things will improve steadily.
I didn't have a nsd yesterday, more of a rather spendy day really as I bought him a box of chocolates and nice bottle of whisky for our 16th wedding anniversary next week. I tried to get a sweet 16 birthday card but failed so got one that says "One of the nicest things in life is being loved and loving someone" I wrote a poignant poem on it too.
I normally make him customised cards via M00np1g and he loves them but this year, after the birthday fiasco I decided I was going to just find a card instead. It's certainly much cheaper.
DGDs are having a lovely time on holiday, I think DS is enjoying having quality time with his family. DDIL has finished work now and is currently saying she is not going back after the baby is born. Not sure how they will manage financially but I hope they can stick to it as I know DS struggles to child mind all day and then work late into the night with just DGD2 so would find it harder with a baby as well.
DGD1 is going through a naughty phase at the moment, having always needed lots of attention, she is vying for even more right now. Luckily DGD2 is such a placid child I can easily see to them both but I know everyone else struggles and DGD1 gets told off a lot. Hopefully with DDIL being home now things will sort themselves out. DGD1 is such a lovely girl but very intelligent and needs lots to keep her amused.
I never had a very good relationship with any of my extended family as DM and DF just didn't encourage it. DD and DM have always been close but DD makes all the effort. My dream for the future is to have the sort of relationship with my DGC that Dear Li'l Miss Lucky has with her Granny. I want them to always know that I'm here for them no matter what and will always be there to support them. It's an easy task at the moment with just a "Granny" shouted accompanied with a happy excited face is enough to make my day brighter.
Anyway, I'm supposed to be working, just stopped for lunch, so better get back to it. Hope all is well with everyone, the diaries are quite quiet at the moment.
May be back later, hoping for NSD today.
