Hi Granny
Sorry there were cross words but I do agree with you that effort is required. Can you get your bath and then suggest you both cook something really nice to eat this evening?
Good your boss has a human side. Not so convinced about mine. However I will try to have an open mind

Oh no
I have one here who speaks to me like that sometimes. I ignore him then go about my business and act happy, it winds him up no end. He used to love it when i sat there sulking, crying or unhappy. Pfft.

Difficult one. I'm not the one to give advice on relationships, I'm not in one and that was the best thing for my last relationship!
I'm afraid OH is always going to revert to type, we all do. It's something you have to live with knowing. If you're prepared to put in lots of hard work things will be bearable. I'm sure he loves you and would be completely bereft without you.
Perhaps you need to find something else to do away from him. Yoga, swimming, art class, maybe? Yes, it will cost some money, but debt saving isn't the issue here, sanity and happiness saving is. Somehow we may be able to think of a way to make him pay for it. After all he is the cause, an activity away from him is the medicine.
Love to you granny

My OH can act like yours, but if i act that way i get told off. When he has days like these (which are more than i like) i just ignore him and get on with it. I decided last year that if he did'nt want to do stuff that i did, then i would do it by myself, life is to short and i did'nt want to regret not doing stuff. So now i will go off walking, visiting the pictures or just going shopping, whilst he stays indoors.
I must admit that when i do stuff or talk to him whilst he is in a "sulk" i know it bugs him that i just carry on as normal, think he thinks i should ponder to himor sit and sulk with him.
As i said before.. Life is to short. Decide what you want to do and go doit.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -

Thanks everyone, I had a bit of a grump on yesterday tbh, not quite sure why but it was over by mid afternoon. Well it was probably a feeling sorry for the financial situation I find myself in, having a pity fest really.
Last weekend wasn't too bad, as I said it was ok until the words on Tuesday but as that was the actual celebratory day and the other celebratory days I have had recently weren't what I would wish for, I was hoping he'd make a special effort. Instead he reverted to type, as dear Piq said and that got to me more than usual.
It wasn't just the IT comment, which I can see doesn't sound as bad as it felt at the time, there were other things prior to that and "IT" was the final straw tbh.
Anyway, I'm over it now. I know he will never change and tbh I don't expect him to completely, I would just like him to be a bit more demonstrative of the way he feels about me.
He admitted to feeling out of sorts himself yesterday after working nights. Today has been quite a nice day and tomorrow we have DGD2 and maybe DGD1 if there is no school, so should be a good day.
2 more NSDs to add to the total.
Hope you have all had a good weekend.
