He's been selling cars off his drive for a year. He can't make the SOGA go away by putting his fingers in his ears and singing to himself. He doesn't like it, but it's here to stay. I don't really care about his business either way, if he's good, he'll be ok, if not he won't be ok. But he's obviously still learning about selling cars to the public.
Have you got proof he is selling cars off his drive Mikey?"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

I've no objection to the SOGA - other than i think its too vague both for the customer and the trader - i certainly do my very best to abide by it and happily work with customers and Consumer Direct whenever necessary. I would say that with the 200+ cars i've sold in the past year or so, there have only been a handful of times a customer has had to come back to me. Sometimes they come back with an attitude that really stinks - maybe from reading your posts mikey? - but i've never left a customer unhappy with the outcome. - but i've never left a customer unhappy with the outcome.
I've been selling cars to the public on and off for over 20 years, so i'm VERY comfortable with how to handle it, thanks.
I guess thats the difference in you and me mikey - i'm staking my livelihood on what i do and what i believe is right (and its working!) - whereas you just come across as a miserable git with a chip on your shoulder on a forum.... :rotfl:0

SOGA doesn't work on what you think is right, and that's where we keep disagreeing. You always come across as flying off the handle eveytime someone mentions the customer having rights. And it's pretty confusing, you've been selling cars for 20 years, or you're trying to make a go of it to get off the dole, at least I'm consistent if I'm a miserable git who reminds dealers the SOGA is there, and isn't just what they think they should do. Another thread well and truely dragged down by you again.0

And you're still having it.No, he hasnt, because thats not what i do.
Thats part of mikeys (many) problems - he can fire out these wild accusations without ever having to prove anything.
But then thats how sad little men like him get their kicks.0

I recon he meets them at the services. No come back that way.0

They had taken it as a trade in, and it was one of a batch of cars i bought from them. The others being an 06 Skoda Superb, an 06 Toyota Corolla and an 03 Honda CRV. Dealers often bundle up several cars when selling them to the trade.
Kind of like how the banks packed up the toxic loans up with the good ones so they could sell them on as an attractive looking package? The bank gets a bunch of decent mortgage borrowers along with a deadbeat who drinks away his entire salary and never pays the bills. You get a three nice cars and a CityRover.
This is not intended a dig at Pgilc1 here (for once) just an amusing observation. In fact fair play on Pgilc1 for punting it on in what sounds like a reasonable and honest manner.0

No, when i 'fly off the handle' is when people like you come out with crazy talk about 11 year old cars that must be able to perform as new and that for example, fuel pumps actually become 2 months old when someone buys the car and has it two months. That is simply wrong and does nothing other than confuse those who come on these forums with problems.
Also, you very clearly have such a chip on your shoulder thats so big you have to try and tar EVERY car dealer with your own twisted preconceptions.
And it's pretty confusing, you've been selling cars for 20 years, or you're trying to make a go of it to get off the dole,
Once again, extracting what you want to read and twisting it to suit some twisted point you want to make. I said i had sold cars ON AND OFF for 20 years. More, actually - i started my career selling cars, then went into IT, but still sold cars part time for quite a while.
I took voluntary redundancy last year to allow me to give this a go full time. Its been going really well - currently averaging 18-20 cars a month.
at least I'm consistent if I'm a miserable git who reminds dealers the SOGA is there, and isn't just what they think they should do. Another thread well and truely dragged down by you again.
Yes, you're definitely consistently a miserable old git.
Reputable traders dont need reminding - they know what their obligations are. So by banging to the likes on me and SB is hitting the wrong target really isnt it?
Also, as others have already said - its fairly clear who is doing the stirring on this thread....0

Yeah, they know traders wont volunteer to buy something like that so they wrap it up with other cars traders do want. Also, from their perspective they can 'hide' the loss they probably took on this car among bits of profit they took on the other trade cars.0
