I'm basically a one man small business, who was on the dole this time last year trying to make a living. I dont want to die rich, just get enough to make ends meet.

I know there are lots of disreputable traders out there - just like there are in all walks of life, but i'm trying my best not to be like that.

So why the !!!! to you and your mate Sgt Pepper insist EVERY !!!!ING time to try to undermine what i'm doing?

Sadly, that's the effect that dodgy traders have on the whole industry. Ultimately you'll stand or fall on your own reputation but, in the meantime, you'll suffer from everyone else's.

I don't buy from dealers - they tend not to stock the sort of stuff I buy (here's the latest addition):

But I'd always trust a sole trader who'd built a good reputation more than some faceless franchise because the sole trader has a personal interest in getting it right.

Because every time any one posts anything about a dealer, you jump in with both feet, telling everyone how they have no chance, how they have to let the dealer try to fix it for months at a time, in short, once the dealer has the money, it's his.

    Nonsense. Your whole attitude sucks.

What about all the others who were where in the same position as you, and have just scraped together the cash to buy a car, and now face being stuck without it, or paying again, and who need it for their jobs?

Then at every opportunity they should pursue their rights HOWEVER it is important to NOT give people false information which is what you do.

that explains why he's bitter, had to sign off the rock and roll when he was caught selling a car a week.

Funny how you've so much time to be on here, or is it you who's on the dole?

You haven't said the obvious. Last one I bought like this from a dealer, it was advertised as spares or repair, even though it was roadworthy with a current MOT. The dealer didn't want to give a warranty, so took the hit on the price from selling it as a runner, so sold it as a non-runner. Maybe you did and took the hit as well, but you've certaintly evaded saying it on here. Which is exactly what I said in my original post, that you jumped on and took exception to.

Because no matter what i put, you'll have an issue with it.

If i say 'i sold it as spares or repair' then you'll reply 'oh you're a crook, evading your SOGA responsibilities'

If i say 'sold as seen', then you'll reply 'oh you're a crook, evading your SOGA responsibilities'

If i say 'sold with no warranty implied or given', then you'll reply 'oh you're a crook, evading your SOGA responsibilities'

If i say 'no mention of warranty on the invoice', then you'll reply 'oh you're a crook, evading your SOGA responsibilities'

If i say 'sold with a three month warranty', then you'll reply 'oh you have to cover it for six according to SOGA - you're a crook, evading your SOGA responsibilities'

The City Rover was a god-awful addition to the MG-Rover stable when it was launched. As previously mentioned it was based on the Tata Indica, which I'm sure was very good in terms of cost to make, but build quality and material quality took a backseat to put it mildly.

Back in the days of the motorshow being held at the NEC, myself and a few of my friends poked and prodded the interior of one on the MG-Rover stand a few times before realising it wouldn't take much more for it to literally disintegrate in front of us. That was probably a sign of what was to come if that was the quality of the car they put on the stand was as bad as that...they were overpriced to start with and residual values died on their backsides when MG-Rover sunk.

Mondays and tuesdays are generally quiet. Anyone who was wanting a car last week will have bought during the week or over the weekend before they go back to work. Thats what i'm finding anyway. If i get a car away on a monday or tuesday, its a bonus rather than expceted.

Had a couple of phone calls though and a handover to do this evening. Bid on a couple of cars in a dealers, just waiting to hear if i've got them.

Whats your excuse? I notice you didnt deny being unemployed??
