To buy a City Rover, or not???

No, full years warranty. All parts guaranteed as new. Full AA recovery included in the price. Fully tested by our team of mechanics and personally driven by the ex Head of Engineering for Rover, and a 250 page document of authenticity produced and signed in blood. Any fault will result in the immediate death of his family, and a public flogging. We dont accept failure.
Also, I've a SWAT team of Consumer Direct agents on standby, to ensure the buyer of this £200 car with no MOT are fully upheld, and i've personally moved £50,000 into a bank account specifically in case there are any problems with the car, that could mean having TATA build him a brand new one, having it shipped over here and of course sourcing Rover badges etc.
Trading standards have also been notified, and the Bill of Sale was ratified by them at an emergency board meeting convened at 23:00 hours on the night before the sale and prior to it being signed by the customer.
Also, we paid for legal advice for the customer to ensure they fully knew what the commitment of buying this car from a motor trader entitled them to.
Happy?
So you brought it round his house, or were just going that way and met him in his local pub then.0 -

No, he came and picked it up.
And - as i know where you're going with this - he took it home on a low loader.
Dont worry - no puppies were harmed, or any road offences committed or anyones SOGA rights infringed upon.
As i've said before Mikey - you and Pauper just seem intent on picking holes and trying to ridicule people - what sad lives you must lead.0 -

+1
I sold one on Thursday - an 04 one, mint with just 14K miles. It was a sprite with alloys, electric windows, etc. No MOT but driving well, for £200. A guy bought it for his daughter - he had a look around and was budgeting £200 to put it through MOT (needed discs and pads).
Will turn out a cheap car for him, but wouldnt like to be paying £1000+
New discs required after only 14k miles - didn't that set the alarm bells ringing that the mileage might be a bit more than just 14k ?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
What kind of warranty would you expect from a £200 car with no MoT?Sold as seen, no warranty, spares only, no return, on the invoice?
At that price, it IS sold as seen with no warranty, because the law would deem it reasonable for a car bought for a paltry £200 to have plenty of faults.
My car costs more than that to tax.0 -

No.
The car had a FSH. Bought from the same garage new when they were Rover dealers, serviced by them before and after Rover closed and traded back in to them for another brand.
The only reason i commented on the discs was the car has been sitting about and the discs looked a bit off, as it were. They could probably be cleaned up ok (given apparently how expensive they are for City Rovers) but based on experience the mechanic i use would probably have opted for new ones.0 -

I'm sure you have it covered, let's just call it a private sale, no questions asked. Even better, just write - no warranty, it's cheap - that'll cover you I'm sure.0
