The guy is really lovely too!! I just don't think I want to get involved with a man again, my best friend suggested I just keep him as a friend with benefits
Just popped in here to say...go for it Moggins... Been there and done that! Worth every erm.... I think I'll leave it there :oCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Pen-pin- thank you thank you thank you your posts were the best medicine after a horrible day at w**k. I nearly fell off my chair laughing. I even tried to phone a friend to tell her some of them but I couldn't talk for laughing so much.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
So glad I am not back at w**k till Monday. I work on what is normally a very busy ward, today, we had no empty beds and stacks of patients needing to come in. very stressful, in between actually caring for patients was on phone to managers to sort out situation and staffing as others kept phoning in sick AAAhhhhhh.
Off out tonight to help best mate. She is starting a chocolate making business- regularly offer my services for tasting sessions!, and this evening she has a kind of fair to sell some of her stuff at, going along to keep her company and apparently there will be cocktails available too- difficult job but someone has to do it.;)

nicki!!! You made me spit my coffee out
I've had an interesting day, will update you all later but I don't think I got the job, the bloke was too worried about how long I had been out of the work force for. Never mind, I've just sent my CV off (that's another story there) and have an interview with an employment agency on Tuesday.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hi Guys!
They are funny arent they! Glad it made somebody else smile:D
The cleaner will be here at 6.30. We are going out for an hour or so to let her get on with it. Im helping a friend with some legal stuff, then may pop to BIL (nice one;) ) for a brew as they literally live next door. I feel confident about this cleaner...so fingers x'd please:rolleyes:...I never feel comfortable with strangers in the house, but for some reason I do with this one?
Just had me dinner of dare I say it...Shepherds Pie:o ....I had mushy peas with it as I fancied themSteak, Chips & Onion Rings tomorrow...I cant wait!
OH banked the cheque, so that will clear on Monday:D Might have a look in B&Q tomorrow as I havent been out again for a while and can use me wheels in the store to look at internal wooden doors.
Will let you know how we get on with cleaner later.
Hugs to all

Hiya everybody,
My last post didnt work so hope this one does. We need to take the computer in tomorrow as it keeps losing power. Pain in the neck.
Had a phone call from DD this morning. Had a lovely long chat. Also got an email from niece & her DH. They have arrived in Oxford and have invited us down. We'll go sometime in April and spend some time there. Be good to hear people talk normal for a whilealthough they have been over in the USA
Jockett Happy Birthday. Enjoy your fab present.
SnowyIt was great to see you first off the rank today.
Elona Glad to hear that your DD is keeping something down. (((hugs)))
Well seeing as the computer is working, off for a quick surf and then put tea on. Hope you all have a great night. ByeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Hi to all
happy birthday Jockett. Enjoy - mmm warm bread (with peanut butter), I'm drooling. Think I need to set the machine off.
Wasn't going to post cos I haven't got anything to say - but my "Pauper's Cookbook" has just arrived. Yay.
Moggins - although you haven't been in paid work you've been working for each of those 6 years. Organisation, Prioritisation, financial skills........And think of all the people management you do with kids, office staff need just the same treatment (only a little more subtly). NEVER apologise for having been a SAHM. You have been growing skills over those years, not losing any."You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -

yes..... walk to shop (asda) pick up pack for 18p!:D
(Well you did say an easy peasy way:rotfl: )
moggins - nevermind on the job, (look at it this way) its a positive start that you got chosen to go for interview (so at least they think you are employable) - and - he may changed his mind, think about it & come back to you? fingers crossed xx

Came home from work early as i badly hurt my foot at the train station yesterday (was rushing to get my train and something just went in my heel!) Soldiered on in work till about 2pm today but just couldnt face much more.... added to the fact i hate the place and the people there so much. This morning the supervisor from hell even took credit INFRONT of me...from the store manager for something ID done..and that was MY idea and went against what shed told me to actually do!!! (Then rushed the manager off before i could say anything!)
Anyway come home and went onto jobcentreplus website and done a jobsearch cos i dont wanna stay there anymore... rang up and within minutes had an interview for tomorrow morning! Its for a more local job so no travel costs, only 20 hours a week (im currently doing 40) and for £300 a year more salary! :j So although im not hopeful... im going to call in sick tomorrowand sacrifice a days wages (all £31.15 gross of it!! ) to go for this job interview... all else fails.. ive got an extra day to rest my poor foot and get some things done around the house!
Got to go to Asda now though as i have no smart trousers!! ive worn them all for this current job (have to supply my own black pants as part of the uniform) and ive ruined every pair with pulls and with ground in dirt/dust from having to kneel on the floor constantly. Need a pair for interviews anyway as im NOT staying at the present place.. they had me cleaning the toilets yesterday after they had backed up and flooded.. mopping up dirty toilet water and picking up other peoples USED toilet roll after the bin spilt everywhere... Not willing to do that again for £4.45 an hour!0
