Hello everyone and good luck with your interview moggins.

Our old next door neighbours had a dog - an alsationy type - who was tied up in the garden. he'd be out there all day and all night, we'd hear him barking at night so knew he was still out there. In mid summer he was out there & we noticed one day his water bowl had been knocked over - the next two days it stayed in the exact same position, with no water. He also got thinner and thinner and he ended up not looking like an alsation anymore - they're quite bulky dogs usually. We knew the neighbours were still there as their children used to wake us up early in the mornings (ah...pre parenting days!) and in the end we bit the bullet & reported them. The dog was taken away to be rehealthed and rehomed - and we heard that he went to a new family pretty quickly. It was so sad, as he seemed such a good natured dog. I can understand why there are so many stray cats, as they're such independant creatures, but I just don't get how anyone could tie up their dog in the garden and leave him to starve.

My house is entirely made up of boxes, and today I'll be taking this computer apart! (eek!), We haven't been able to book in a reconnection at the new house for our tv, phone and internet as the people there now haven't applied for a disconnection - which is bloody ridiculous. Still, I'm quite prepared to plug in and use their account if they insist...

Today I'll be taking apart my bed and Isaac's cot, and finishing packing & cleaning the kitchen. Grandma is having Isaac overnight so we'll be able to just keep going until it's done! Of course, we'd *like* an early night as it's a big day tomorrow...

Still, I'm excited - looking forward to a garden!

    Morning all

Happy birthday Jockette - hope you have a great day.

    Good luck moggins.

Hugs to the rest of you that need them.

It was sunny here about an hour ago......came back from the school run and opened all the windows and doors for a complete blow through - just got the patio doors open now and listening to the frogs in the pond - there's so much spawn in there this year and you can't step on the grass for frogs hopping all over the place...cat's think it's squeezy toy heaven! :D

Just finished photographing and weighing my next lot of ebay stuff so shall go make a cup of tea and get listing - I can't get on with turbo lister so use the old method. It's mainly clothes with a few books and dvds this time so hope to make another £50. Since November ebay sales have made £344 :j

We also got a nice cheque in the post this morning from the insurance company in payment of my cooker door I broke before Xmas - forgotten all about that so that's another £100 off the CC.

Need to make some pastry later for sausage splat for tea and need to go over my windows again that I washed yesterday - they looked really smeary last night (shame on me!!)

Hope you all have a great day.

Good luck to Moggins :grouphug:& Hippo Birthday to Jocktuck:bdaycake:

Haven't been posting on the daily thread for a couple of weeks but I have been reading & am upto date with everyones goings on;)

I have been trying to get back to grips with my finances & budgeting, which I had been letting slide for too many months to mention:o Have sorted everything out, just got to stick to the budget now....so far so good but then it's only day 3! Have taken the plunge this morning & signed up to a couple of mystery shopping sites, don't know if anything will come of it though?
This mornign I backed my 1st ever weetabix cake, althoguh actually it was cakes as I made them in a bun tin. They have come out & smell scrummy but so far I have resisted trying one! Hubby is going away tomorrow for the night so these are to take with him;)
Now off ot make a batch of meatballs for the freezer with mince which is fast going out of date, tonights dinner involves clearing the fridge out of leftovers so should be easy, if a little odd in combination:rolleyes::D

    Have a fab day everyone:T

    Morning :hello:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAArrrrrrrrrgh - this morning has reminded me why I avoid getting the bus from outside my door in the mornings.

I was running late (overslept) and if I don't leave for work by 8:15 I know that walking all the way there will make me late. Didn't get out the door until 8:25, bus didn't turn up until 8:45  (it's normally at least every 10 mins!) and then was so packed that the driver was refusing to let people on - and at two separate points on the route, people started giving the driver verbal abuse (to be fair, the driver was only doing his job) and driver refused to go any further until the people who were having a go at him had got off the bus  To cut a long story short I would have got to work quicker if I'd walked! Or at least if I'd walked up to the end of the road and got a different bus.

And it is THE most beautiful morning, so walking would have been lovely.

Anyway, I have soooo much work to do so can't stay here long.

Tonight I am going to a work drinks do, it is the leaving do for 2 senior managers so it should be a free bar all night :D The last time I went to an event at this bar, I managed to behave myself (drank quite a lot but didn't get drunk as I alternated booze with soft drinks :A ) so will attempt to do the same tonight. I must be growing up :D Still, I have been well-behaved so far this week - ok, had a late boozy night on Monday but haven't touched a drop since then (or indeed eaten any chocolate! What's wrong with me  ) and the bar I am going to tonight does fab c0cktails so I can kid myself that it's part of my 5 a day :D:o

    Happy birthday jockettuk :bdaycake:
Good luck with the interview moggins (and good luck also with fending off all your admirers :D)
TKP you made me laugh - if I didn't know better I would say your OH is my ex  except his dream is a cheese shop in Wales rather than a convenience store :D If he ever did realise this ambition he wouldn't last 2 minutes - he used to live in the Surrey countryside, but was so bored he moved into Central London and I know he would be seriously bad at proper rural living :D
PP glad you got the cheque  - are you almost debt free now?
Crazychik - glad the hacker got stopped in his/her tracks!

Sorry if I've missed anybody out... must be off now

    Love Rzl xx

OK, I gave in & ate one:o. They taste as scrummy as they smell, but for future reference....DO NOT BAKE THE WEETABIX CAKE IN A BUN TIN, THE PAPER CASES STICK LIKE MAD TO THE CAKES & YOU END UP EATING THE PAPER TOO!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning All!!

    Happy Birthday Jockettuk!!!

    Best of luck Moggins!!

Scuzz - hope your mum is okay.

Good luck with the move Clairefun

Sorry to those I've missed. It's a beautiful day here and I can't believe I'm stuck in the office but hey ho at least I can see out the window, in my last office I couldn't even do that.

DH has his next shift off as well, so think he will start to replace the fencing in the front garden this weekend, my brother will give him a hand, then we're all off out for dinner for my sister's birthday which should be lovely. It's one of our favourite restaurants and lots of friends coming that we haven't seen in ages.

The weather looks as though it should be nice this weekend too so think some time needs to be spent in the garden.

    Have a lovely day all.
