Someone's just left me a neutral because the padded envelope I sent their item out in was A00 instead of A000 and they thought it was too large :confused::confused:

Bang goes my perfect 5* rating on the second day then!

Sounds like you had an Eco Warrior on your hands.
Destroying the planet with your huge excessively sized envelope... shame on you Caz.

If it was me think I'd be sending her a picture of myself brushing my teeth with the tap running, wearing a "Say it Loud, Say it Proud, I Don't Recycle" T-shirt, while peeling a potato into a non compost bin and all the while illuminated by a non energy saving lightbulb.

That ought to give her sleepless nights for a month.

Funnily enough, it was me who had the buyer who didn't want any packaging that couldn't be recycled a few months back, and so sent her stuff out wrapped in kitchen paper in a bog-standard envelope!

The ironic thing is that I wouldn't be using these jiffy bags if the wrong ones hadn't turned up! Since the place I bought them from had invoiced me for the right ones, I checked if they wanted them back and they said it wasn't worth the courier costs, so if I could use them, keep them. I now have another 950 to get through before I've got room in the hall to order the usual-size ones again.

I'll brace myself for the deluge of neutrals from the eco-warriors of eBay then!

My best one from ebay was the item was better than expected and the person was complaining as the item not as described feedback.

Another was the postage was too high (I charged £4.50 postage, it cost me £4.00 to post and £1.00 to wrap and I actually lost out).

Oh actually another good one was the person did not like the item so they threw it out and wanted a refund even though they could not send the item back to me.

Other generic ones include people not paying and demanding items before they will send payment.

    I think I attract them.

A mate of mine sold a video and got negative feedback because the film wasn't as good as the buyer remembered... Sometimes you just have to laugh!

I'm worried about mine, I had feedback last night from someone, a positive, but who said as part of it 'post reasonable'. To me reasonable only sounds middling, as in not good so I wonder if he marked me down a star because of it. Thing is I charged £1.70 post and packing and the stamps alone were £1.39 and the large jiffy bag approx 19p so I was hardly being excessive as it was a book and took quite a bit of extra wrapping for the corners.

Soolin I think the P&P charges is where everyone is going to come a cropper!
I have a 100% feedback (AT the moment!), this week I had an "excellent transaction, as described, P&P a little excessive".
P&P was £5.50, £4.74 1st class, 68p recorded delivery =£5.42 so 8p for the item wrapped and new tissue paper, sent in a new courier bag, and driven to the post office! I think sellers are going to be penalised in their feedback for actual Royal Mail charges!
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

I think you have a good point becky. It possibly isn't what we charge that is excessive, it is the perception that postage generally is too high.

For instance, I bought some books at the weekend and almost balked at the £7.70 postage. It wasn't until I thought about it and looked up parcel post that I realised the seller is actually going to struggle to cover his post and packing costs as the books are coffee table ones and I know them well and they weigh a ton. Yet briefly all I saw was £7.70 p and p and went

  • The other category which might cause a problem is 'communication'. Most people win an item, pay, I send it, they leave good feedback. But there isn't actually any communication as such. So what mark will they give? I guess that they don't have to mark all the categories - or maybe they do??
