Hi just wondering if anyone could answer my question, we have only been claiming since march and £106 is paid in weekly, we have two scholl age children and between myself and husband earn £17000 pa, i renewed on mondayand declared our change of wages, our p60's we earn a joint income of£14200 so a drop in wages. Will i still receive the £106 next tues or will they stop it, or will it be more or less, also some people have mentioed extra payments, would i be likely to get two payments in one week or is this only for new claims?
    Many thanks for your help!x

If that is your total joint gross income before any tax and nat insurance deductions then yes it will go up, but it may take a little while to go through the system, so I expect that your payment will be same £106 for now and then you will get a back dated sum after perhaps 4 weeks or so. They certainly should not stop it. That is assuming that your original claim was based on more income than this years just gone. (income from 2010/11). The £14.2k level should mean that you now qualify for Work tax credit as well, so you may also get help with school meals (and uniforms if children not in primary school) and perhaps a certain level towards prescriptions as well. Every little helps. They will send you a card for the prescriptions.
(However, a word to the wise for next year, if you think that earnings will be quite a bit over this years, it may be worth popping any extra you get next year after 6th april into savings account and not spending it until you get the final award, that way HMRC have the chance to adjust payments and you have not spent it and find that you need to repay it. I mean 6th April 2013 on by the way). Reassess figures in March 2013.

Well my renewal has gone through I think phoned last wednesday and my payments went up by 6.00 today not too sure about following payments as havnt had award notice yet had no one off payment though which is a bummer as usually get one and use for birthdays/fathers days this month and next as have quite a few over the coming weeks
Anyone else not had one off payment this year and normal payments just increased?
    Thanks
  • Renewed by phone last monday and have had revised payments hit bank yesterday (wed). Amazingly fast turn around. Had 3 jobs, child in non-advanced education + child care costs (different kids LOL). Impressed. ;)

Had one -off payment - only £49 - but hey!!;)

It is 13th June 2012 and I have still not received my renewal pack yet. Is any body still waiting for theirs. Getting quite fed up of trying to get through to them. Yes ok I might not get it until 30th of June but that does not actually give me a lot of time to collect any information they might need. Mine will be a little complicated this year anyhow because my child leaves school but should start 6form and my hubby is self employed.

I'm still waiting the deadline is today for them to of got back to me I have never had it take this long and as other people have said I'm really stressed out over this as I have other issues going on and this is the last thing I need !! I had to fight last year to get my step daughter added to my claim as social services put her in our care 3 years ago and up untill November last year we hadn't received a penny for her !i have since found out even though they awarded it to us they have still been paying her mother so two of us have been receiving ctc for one child !?im obviously scared they are going to take it away from me and slam me with a huge overpayment this is just more stress than I need at the moment :( !!!
