i got the letter about my childcare, not asking for statements etc but they have said that a chidcare provider i used about 8 years ago are saying they dont look after my daughter which is obvious and please phone them. they had been given the details about my present childcare provider and when i called before this was one of the security questions which was answered correctly by my present childminders name. i have until 2mw to phone them even though i only received the letter yesterday. my childcare has now stopped and ill also update them when i call tommorow. i dont have receipts as i paid by cash and my childminder is now very ill and i realy dont want to have to back and ask her.

I understand what you are saying but if you want this to be sorted then you will HAVE to contact the childminder!

I think they will be sympatetic to the child minders illness but this alone wont stop HMRC looking into the details . They will still want verification that you were using the person you say you were.
The loopy one has gone :j

Does anyone know what the deadline is in waiting for the renewal letter to drop through the door? I'll try and be patient but also dont want to leave it beyond the date is to call and chase the letter!

The absolute deadline is 30th June, but have a look at this: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/taxcredits/keep-up-to-date/renew-claim/why-renew.htm#4

Wouldn't worry too much (assume you mean you're on WTC only?), as there's only something wrong (if anything wrong at all) if June 30th comes and goes with no renewal forms.

I'm under 'claim withdrawn' (the last to be dealt with, no forms yet), but my sister is under 'max. amount of CTC' - the website says she should have received her pack by 26th May, she actually got it a few days later.

Yes disabled Working Tax Credit for me (30 hours).

Want it sorted really as over estimated income for reasons of my not wanting to end up owing them. I'll take the same approach with estimated income though but should be more accurate this time.
  • I renewed late April. CTC, WTC, Childcare 2 kids.
Told it would be sorted by 4th June. That date came and went and still not sorted. Called again today to check, 11th June. Still not done. No request for further information and no indicators or notes that there is a problem. Im baffled and a little concerned at the delay. Im expecting a potential payment of over £1250, and this cant come too soon. Anyone got any ideas whats going on???
