Postie bought us confirmation of venue and registrar today, I've spent £1100 this week already eek! Have also been attempting to find a save the date that I like but not getting very far so I'm thinking I might not bother now lol

I have got H2B's wedding ring (£11.05 inc postage) and arranged to go and see our preferred venue on 10th August.

I feel really disorganised compared to all of you, we still haven't told anyone (inc parents) so can't really go all out with the booking as I know my mum would be hurt.

Aiming to find out the colour scheme by the end of the weekend by quizzing my sister on what colour of dress she would wear.

I know the officiant that we want (was going to do my previous wedding before I cancelled it and was lovely, also family friend). Just need to get in touch with her

I have booked reception and church paid both deposits, currently designing STDs (as I have now chosen a colour scheme finally!) and provisionally booked my photographer.
Once STDs have gone out im not doing anymore until after some wedding fayres in september because I feel totally clueless! lol

We've booked the registrar, venue, musicians, florist, cake, tog and have a bridal party

STDs, invites etc. are being worked on thanks to OH. Confirmation pending on garden games as is hair/makeup person. We probably won't worry about clothes until next year. Can't wait to give notice in early October.

Any one not going for rings? We're thinking of alternatives to exchange.

I have just bumped into this conversation, hope you don't mind me gate-crashing...

We are getting married 19th September 2013... in Ayia Napa, Cyprus... we've booked Aphrodite Wedding Services, they have a new venue on the beach, the photos are fab... I booked the holiday & flights too, first time for me, omg! We're staying at the Napa Plaza for 14 nights, we're SO excited!! Jamie is a bit younger than me, he'll be nearly 30 and I'll be 45 (age is only a number!).

I've been to Ayia Napa & Protaras once before in 2005, before I met my knight in shining armour, and it was Cypriot Pounds back then, so I hope the Euro hasn't made it too expensive... oh well, it's our first and only holiday for a while, so we'll make the most of it!!

We had a bit of a heart to heart last weekend and have now decided to fairly drastically change our plans, bottom line is that I am defecting to the April 2013 thread! I will still pop in from time to time and will try and keep the first posts with dates going too, if I miss anything feel free to PM me

I have suddenly gone from feeling organised with lots of time to having only 8 months to go and get all the other bits done, yikes!

I bought my dress Sunday, it wasn't planned (although I had started trying some on) but we went to a wedding fair and it was reduced from £900 to £300 so mum paid for it for me!

Today I have booked the ceremony and paid the deposit on the wedding cars. I have also got the booking form for the photographer and have confimed we can pay our reception deposit in September.

I think I'm doing quite well

EDIT - bought the wedding insurance after I booked the ceremony so should all be covered!
