Good luck! Hope you have a fantastic day DueMarch11!

Can I please ask what you've got left to do? I can't predict what I'll have left from 3 days before hand, when I have time off from work.

My bridesmaids have taken time off too and I'm really worried they've done so unnecessarily! Really sweet of them though. I'm really at a loss and can't work it out!

I can't wait to hear all about your big day :j
  • Well!

Today myself and our 5 year old daughter finished off the name places.

This evening I started assembling the table centres, we are lining fish bowls with tissue paper, placing a table number inside and surrounding it with purple sweets/chocolates, the tissue paper is then gathered around the table number holder and tied with lots of curling ribbon. The idea is that everyone has a candy bag as their favour but they cant actually use it til after the meal, when the curling ribbon is cut and the tissue paper 'opens up' to reveal the sweets/chocolate. There is a different type of purple sweet or chocolate on each table so guests take their bags round and fill them up, good way to get the guests mixing....or so Im hoping anyway!!

Anyway as you can imagine these arent a 5 minute job although I have managed to do 3 tonight and only have 3 to do, plus a bit of final tweaking.

Need to make the table plan, OH helping with that tomorrow night.

    Make the music CD's
Pick up top table decoration and buttonholes
    Pick up flowergirl wand
    Finish DIY photobooth
    Pick up dresses
Try kids outfits on them before the weekend in case we need to go panic by anything
    Sort last minute gifts
    Wrap gifts
Pack for honeymoon (going 2 days after wedding)
Pack kids stuff for their week away with nanny and grandad

There is other stuff but the list is in the kitchen and my sofa has glue on it :D

Im not too worried, especially now Ive made a start on the centres and done the name places. I have 5 evenings free before I need to take everything over to the venue for them to set it all up. The other evenings are taken up with work and another 'hen do' although Im driving on that one, I havent got time for a hangover :rotfl:

    How are you getting on?

Ahhhh, when you put it like that, I see what you mean! Your centre pieces sounds really good, a little surprise right under guests noses, what a great idea.

    Here's our list:

    -Admin for tog
-Decide how we're getting to the venue (walking not an option)
-Pay remaining suppliers over the coming fortnight (florist, band, make up person etc)
-Get gifts for bridal party (ladies ones are in hand I think, we are not sure what to get the chaps though)
    -order favours
-apply cocktail sticks to escort cards (yes literally, glue, cocktail stick, escort card)
    -order goodie bags for children
    -collect stationery
    -finalise mehndi plans
    -book a pedicure
-burn music to CDs rather than rely on a grumpy old ipod
-sort out shirts/ties for the chaps in my family who are better at assembling wardrobes than considering the contents
-OH to choose and order beer
    -decorate card box with ribbon
-get hold of and pack boxes, one per table
    -book a rental car
-we've booked a honeymoon but not what we're actually doing when we get there
-get a hand held clothes steamer
    -collect remaining items from tailor

    That's all!
