A little update of where we are at!

I love reading this thread and board, but feel a little unorganised! So far we have:

    -Booked venue (7th September)
    -Booked registrar and given notice
    -Booked photographers
    -Bought bridesmaids dresses
-Been and tried on wedding dresses, going for a 2nd visit in January Have been for another trip and think I have narrowed it down to 4 dresses! Going again in 2 weeks to retry them all and pick my favourite!
-Went and tried on wedding rings and pretty much know what we want
-Started buying fabric for the miles of bunting I need to make Have now cut out enough for 40m worth of bunting, only another 400m to go!
-Bought candles/lanterns/vases for tables Hubby to be has made a good start on candle holders too :)
-Got quotes from 2 favourite caterers, going to make a choice over Christmas! Have chosen our caterer and loosely picked our menu, now have to work out if we can afford the evening buffet or if we will do that ourselves!
-Making Save The Dates over Christmas Save the dates are all made and in the process of getting them out to everyone!

We pretty much know what we want regarding all the details, so just a case of getting it all sorted!

We have set up a month by month calendar and given ourselves a few wedding related tasks a month! January/February is sorting my dress, getting an idea about honeymoon, getting a lot of the decorations done & sourcing a lot of the little bits to be purchased at a later date!

Where are you girls getting the Men's suits from? Any discounts going? I need 7.

We went in Moss Bros just for a look and when they realised I wasn't going to buy any they handed me a leaflet which was around £75 a suit.

    Do many places do that?

    Hiya

We'll be suit shopping soon, for Cyprus (19.09.13!)
People have recommended places like Matalan, George, TK Maxx, Debenhams sales, etc.

A friend of ours has offered to do out photography as long as we provide her with a camera. We were going to pay £200+ for a photographer, if not more, yet we can buy a decent enough camera for £80 at the moment. So a savin of at least £120.

We haven't overly asked around if people can do anything. May start doing that as I know some people coming are quite crafty, and baking etc. :) x
    Been married since 14th September 2013 <3

I haven't posted in while but have been reading, it's lovely to hear how people are getting on.

I feel like we haven't done much but here's the list:
    -venue booked, deposit paid
-registrar sorted (need to post off notice certificates), balance to pay
    -picked bridal party
    -insurance paid
    -musicians booked, think all paid
    -guest list whittled down
    -Save the Dates sent
    -Tog sorted, deposit paid
    -Florist sorted, deposit paid

    To do:
-invitations to sort out (still working on it)
    -clothes for the bridal party
    -meet the caterers
-hotels for guest and us in advance of our wedding
-website to go live (still working on it)
    -hen and stag dos
    -sort out honeymoon
-find hair and make up professional because heck, I'll need it!
-work out who's reading what in the ceremony
    -table plan thingey
-sort out some kind of running order so we all know what's going on when

Hi all can I join went to see a venue this week and have provisonally booked 20th September just waiting for them to confirm prices as we wanted to tweak a few things. I was the same wanting 13th as 13 is our lucky number. Unfortunatley our friend doing photography and venue couldn't do it. Things arranged so far, our friend doing the ceremony and photograpy and provisional venue. Some of you are some much further ahead. Have been engaged 5 years and been with husband to be 13 years.
