i was thinking about this earlier and was thinking, since both the union jack and the tri colore have white and red in the flags then maybe you choose the colours that are not represented, i.e blue and green as your other colour theme, both work with yellow. you can have yellow and blue tables and yellow and green tables, or mix them up.

or just go with blue since the italian football team are called the azzuri (shade of blue) and the police cars etc are blue too (dont know why this is)

in a bizzare twist of events, i have an engagement ring but havent been proposed to! LOL

anyway we are just dicussing guests etc, i had hoped for just 30 guests but it is looking more like 40 ........

i am sure everyone has this problem so I think i am going to try establish rules now.

Lol, I only got my engagement ring a few weeks ago, despite having booked the wedding back in July lol!

Ours is a package deal to cater for 60 in the day and 100 at night, also having problems with the guest list! There are going to be a few upset folk but hey ho, Im not actually bothered

DueMarch - what a lovely dress, i like the lacey bodice.

yeah just the way things panned out, saw the diamond of my wildest dreams for my budget!! got to get the ring reset as it is truly impractically high. so a bit of money will be spent on that but it looks doubtful that we will have wedding rings as my fiance hates wearing rings, he thinks they will tighten and he wont be able to get them off.. we tried some on today and even the shop assisstant commented to me, oh dear he looks like i put something terrible on his hand.... lol

my problem is we were not going to tell anyone till january after i had planned it therefore, peoples opinions/input and self invitation would be pointless because it would all be done, but my fiance told his mother (whilst i was out the house...) so i had my first bridezilla moment. but it cannot be undone now. so trying to feed rumours everywhere to anyone i see that it will be an extrememly small wedding like 10 people max of only family etc... that way people will be gently surprised i have invited them and more

I've done most things now for ours. Haven't sorted suits, hotel accomadation for the night or transport yet but sorted pretty much everything else.

Can't believe how quickly tie is going to be honest.

Oh thats organised we are planning to get organised in Jan still feels like sooo much to do! Only sorted venues, dress, some decs and photographer!

Lol, I was only thinking today that I havent done anything for ages and a bit oh !!!!!! we really need to get in gear after Christmas!!

Ok so booked venue, given notice, ordered dress and BM dress, booked photographer. And thats it, have done nothing else!!

After Christmas I'll be ready to take it all on!

I love reading this thread and board, but feel a little unorganised! So far we have:

-Booked venue (7th September)
-Booked registrar and given notice
-Booked photographers
-Bought bridesmaids dresses
-Been and tried on wedding dresses, going for a 2nd visit in January
-Went and tried on wedding rings and pretty much know what we want
-Started buying fabric for the miles of bunting I need to make
-Bought candles/lanterns/vases for tables
-Got quotes from 2 favourite caterers, going to make a choice over Christmas!
-Making Save The Dates over Christmas

We pretty much know what we want regarding all the details, so just a case of getting it all sorted!
