  • Morning all,

Thanks for all the good wishes yesterday, hoping it goes well, cos the job would be really close to where I live :)

Boss is being an insensitive idiot today, but he's off this afternoon, so I'll print more copies of my CV and post them out.

Love and hugs to those that need them

Go girl! to moggins, enjoy your free facial!

    Morning All!!!

Haven't posted much lately as still waiting for Sky to connect us, should be next week, all being well. Work is really busy too, new trainee has started and she is fab!!!:j Such a relief.

Am mulling over a bit of a career change after some changes in the department I work in but other role would involve a lot of study etc which I always knew I would have to do at some point, so thats not really an issue.

My perception of the job is that it is rather dull though and that worries me, but then again for a huge increase in salary surely I could cope with a dull job as it would enable us to do so much in our free time and to move to a better house/area etc? I'm afraid, much as I love my work at present I would finish tomorrow if I won the lottery.

    Decisions, decisions....

    Catowen, well done!!! :j

Moggins - thinking of you, you've been on quite a journey the last few days and I think you sound very strong and together.

Shez - tried to answer your pm but your box is full!!

OS - not a lot, pasta bake tonight as DS has football. DH will be home tonight, I've only seen him for about five minutes in the past two days as he's been on night duty the last two nights and doing his other job during the day, he will be exhausted. I need to hoover and wash the downstairs floors as they are making me cringe they are so filthy. Trouble is there is no point doing it whilst DH is working as he treads so much stuff through the house moving ladders etc. Also want to do plant some more seeds.

This week is flying by isn't it?

    Take care all.

There is another way to consider things, which is to get more help at home, you say you are on top of the housework while you are off, so obviously that is a problem when working full time. You may lose less money (or no more than), and not impact your pension by considering a cleaner and ironer. I know penny-pincher had a nightmare with the first agency, but I have had a private one for many years now, and it allows me to come home and consider me more than housework. Even though my DH is brilliant around the home, it means we have more time to do what we want to do, and all we have to do it to ensure it is tidy and the washing done before she comes.

    Just a thought.

Morning all, nice day here also.

Need to crack on with the next lot of uni reading today, as well as clean around the flat, several washloads to do etc.

Need to make something for tea as I'm at work tonight and OH at ice hockey so want it ready for when we get home... Doing well so far... Hungary was monday and Australia was last night (I'm not posting the results again... last post of yesterdays thread if you're interested, though I beg AussieLass to refrain... :rotfl: ) It looks as though Aus will now take the gold unless a miracle happens and someone beats them :D But our girls should get silver. It was always going to be that last nights game decided it, as GB and Aus are the best teams in the championship.

Moggins, you posted before the schoolrun yesterday that you had some good news that you would tell us later, but didn't post again?

Have a good day everyone xxx

    Hi everyone,

Wow! First page is a rare achievement for me. I don't usually get to post this early.

At w**k today but I have been a good girl and bringing my lunch in every day so I haven't wasted money on shop-bought lunches or been tempted by unhealthy food. Double win.

Moggins - glad to hear you thinking of yourself for a change. Stay positive!

I'm staying on top of things at home at the moment (apart from the dreaded ironing!) House is tidy and clean so it makes me feel much better when I get home from work and have to start with tea. DS has a tennis lesson after school today so I pick him up at 6pm. He is usually ravenous.

VEry busy here today but I just thought I'd pop in and say hello. I'm on the lookout for a cheap break for me and DS to go somewhere at Spring Bank Holiday for a few days. He will have been doing his SATS the week before so I thought I would treat him. I'll have a look on the travel, trips & holidays board to see if there are any special offers about.

RZL - you always sound so busy and in control, even thinking about planning your flu around work commitments! ;) Hope you are enjoying the new telly.

    Take care everyone!

    Hello,
Had a great laugh yesterday with the remember whens lol, and feeling much better today (although had my friend over today to rub in the fact I was 3 sheets to the wind on Friday night Oh the shame :o )
Weather is cold but nice, lovely bit wind have one wash load on and the sheets off the 2 boys bed on, the DS2 wet the bed so thought might as well wash DS1 sheets too.
Going to make a pizza for tea and cheesy potatoe wedges (not in the meals plan but I fancy it lol) have the cleaning up to do as well as seeing what I need to get for shopping for next weeks meals.
Have to get ds2 from nursery soon but he has double today so goes back in an hours and 15 mins, selling stuff on ebay some have ended and either didnt sell or what did sell wasnt worth the energy putting them on :rotfl:
Well that will do for me for now might be back for another natter.

    Morning all

I've been a busy bee this week. Dh and I have taken the week off work to do some decorating and decluttering.

So far we've cleared a couple of chests of drawers, painted the bathroom and we've started painting the kitchen today. Unfortunately it's local election day here so ds2's primary school is closed and he wants to 'help' us!

There was a funny moment on Monday when ds2 came home from school....dh nagged and nagged him to stay away from the wet walls in case he got paint on his uniform. So he went off to change out of it...........dh picked it up to put it away, and somehow managed to drop the whole uniform in the paint tray! :rotfl: Thankfully it's only emulsion so washed out easily enough, but it did make me laugh!

Our reward for all of this is a [strike]dirty[/strike] weekend away without children for the first time. So on Friday night I'm going ot have to try and scrub the paint from my hair and nails and transform myself into a sex goddess. Oh well, I can dream.........

Washings done and blowing on the line.
    Bread's made.
Pork chops in the slow cooker for tea.

Have a good day everyone. :)

    Pink
