OS daily thread Wed 7th March 2007

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Wed 7th march. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

I got up real early to do some study, but instead just started to play with the computer. Look at e-bay and answer e-mails. oh well.

Looking like it may not rain for a change, so a dry day at work....
School governors meeting tonight, so busy old day.

yep your right its not raining for a change.... i may even go mad and hang out the washing before i go to work !!!!!! ( so its will be my fault if it rains in west sussex this morning )

a word to grannnybroom if she is reading this.... his name was HORSE !!!!!!,
now granny you have to humm the tune to yourself all day !!!!!!!, we had such a good time on here yesterday afternoon with mrs mix and her song words !!!

arrhhh back to work for me this morning, i have been off for nearly 3 weeks

Had a great time on here yesterday have'nt laughed so much in ages are we doing the 80's this afternoon
must do some housework today as well
have a meeting this morning with a man from the council and our local councillor about parking
dd has tonsillitis again so only the boy's going to school so need to do packed lunches for them
must put the wheelie bins and re-cycling out soon
bm will need to go on
wm and td
bathroom
and the floors and dusting need doing
have a lovely day

What a hoot yesterday's thread was.

I too am an 80's child. I sneaked in at the tail end of 1979.

I also remember the shellsuits, reebok pump trainers and bermuda shorts to name but a few. Pigeon Street and Button Moon were some of my faves on the telly and I loved munching on Chelsea Whoppers, frying pans and 5p crisps. Ah those were the days

Work again today but this is my last day until Saturday. Will pop some washing on tonight and the usual tidy up.

Off to make some lunch and get ready.

In school all day today then Slimming World tonight so pretty busy. Just going to get the WM and TD on and sort the kids out then strip our bed!

Good morning everyone,

Busy day for me today, 2 LOs and 2 bigger ones, still need to catch up on my cleaning, and i have parents evening tonight!!!

DS has been coming home without his winter coat (well, i suppose we havnt had much of a winter) so i popped in to his class with him yesterday, but there is no sign of it, so today he has to go round all the other classes and ask about it - not a happy bunny, its the only coat he has got and i dont have the money to replace it. As his name might not be in it, i know i wont get any help from the school - 2 school jumpers and a school tie all went missing, and they really didnt care, and they were named!!!! Will be interesting to see what he has been up to this year, DD has been doing fine, but DS had a bad year last year, so hoping this year has been better.

Also very pleased with myself, managed to pay off my final catalogue last night, so apart from my mortgtage and personal loan, i have no more debts!!!! I have a credit card, but i pay that one off every month, so im hoping my finances will start to get a bit better now - mind you, still have DSs school trip to pay for (there is always something!!!) and mainly want to start saving for our holiday to Oz.

Right, need to get on, still feeling sick, think ive been doing too much since having the bug on Sunday, but if i dont work, i dont get paid so need to keep going (mind you, thats why im behind with my cleaning, cant do everything when you feel like this).

morning all

seems quite mild out, the easter hols will soon be upon us so i hope to sort out the garden then, i am taking dgs1 to diabetic clinic this afternoon with kyle, hope they havent started charging for parking at the hospital yet thats if you get a space
i really enjoyed yesterdays trip to the past am afraid i will leave the eighties to kyle, i remember knitting a poncho for her and shera on the telly, i loved reading the ladybird books to her at bedtime but certainly not the shera ones

hope everyone is ok will be doing housework today need to stay off the computer as have been a bit lazy recently
will be asking DD1 to keep an eye on DS at school today but will ask her not to intervene unless it gets nasty hopefuly the school will ring me today regarding yesterdays incident
have an interview with an agency this afternoon so hopefuly they will have something for me
