I have the £5 a day one AKA The Benefit Book. I got it years and years ago from the library and, ahem, was bored in the office where I worked on my own with a copier in it - hence I now have it in a ring binder
. I would certainly say get it - it is very good especially the roast chicken, quick quiche and rice and peas.
As for the 80s - ah the 80s.......... I was a new romantic - i used to think i looked the bees knees now I wince at the thought.... my major passion though gave me my moniker on here........ a coconut to the person who gets it first. yesterday when we were passing claire's they had a load of acid brights in the window "oh dear" I said " how 80s" - i never gave in to the puffball skirt though although I did have a relax t-shirt...... everything was so much more stylish then - in that people had their own style and didn't look like a clone - even the clones...!!!!But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green
