Hello everybody :j Not been on here for ages as I had my op - hurrah! - but then a week later I was back in hospital with a very very bad infection - i told DH to ring an ambulance when basically one of my wounds split open and green stuff and lots of blood started pouring out..... Still, having the district nurse visit every day to change my dressing now (thank heavens I got rid of that stoma bag it felt awful) and as i have to "be mobile" we have been shopping for our nephew's 1st birthday presents. Very please and also impressed with DH as it' s nearly all sale rail - £8 M&S anorak (down from £18), boots top £3.75 from £5, boots jeans £4 from £10, Asda hooded fleece £3 from £6 and then we splashed out £6 on a set of three t-shirts. His parents didn't know what they wanted us to get so we just set the budget and bought him clothing to dribble on. Oh and DH bought a chicken on a pulley that clicks back up the string when you pull it  ever practical! Also got his Mother's Day present (reduced top at BHS) and I got one for myself. Also DH got a jumper from BHS fr £9 got a top from Asda and a pair of shoes for £18 which looked suspiciously like the ones I tried on in Clarks and then muttered £40 was too much for a pair of pale blue "non practical" shoes...... So I'm a very happy bunny. Plus managed to spend the last of my christmas bonus money at B&Q on bag of seed pots (£1.50), 2 x pots of grape hyacinths (50p each) and a tray of six polys which were down from 3.98 to 1.50 and the only problem is that they need watering and some of the leaves are a bit ratty!!! Best christmas bonus I've ever had as it's kitted my kitchen garden out for a start and added a bit of colour - and all because of the reduced stickers in in-store and b&Q!!! Apart from that not much happening and as I'm tired I'm going for a lie down whilst DH cleans out the big fridge in the garage. Being ill has it's advantagesBut I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0

Rage in Eden, glad you are on hte road to recovery. Also thanks for the B&Q tip will have a wander over. Last couple of times I have been they had closed the outside off due to the high winds. The 80's were such a fantastic time for music and due to the bus from uni stopping directly outside a ticket agency I saw a LOT of fantastic groups. All the usual suspects really, Level 42(literally a life changing expierence) BEFORE they made it big, Go West, Erasure, Hue & Cry, Alison Moyet, Fairground Attraction, Deacon Blue, Rod Stewart, Julian Cope, Simply Red, Spandu Ballet, amongst others. To be honest I spent a fortune on music and I dont begrudge a single penny of it. My Level 42 passion is still as strong today as it was in 1983 and I have now seen them over 75 times!!! My very long suffering DH has seen them 10times and hes not even keen on them!!!Love eh?Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

Afternoon peeps
Rzl - putting off being ill because you have some "essential" work to do is a bad idea cos it will come out at some point and as you are finding that tends to be your precious holidays. Put out the candle at least at one end:D
Mimi F - My neighbour is wanting to get the sky broadband package so hope it works out it seems a good deal
Donnygal - you have made me think about getting a cleaner again lots of sense in that post
Pink - :rotfl: Glad it was only emulsion. I am painting the kitchen at the moment and I can guarantee that if i change into my "painting clothes" then not a drop falls on me but if not............:o .........well you can imagine:D I also end up with loads in my hair
Snowy - the house sounds gorgeous and who is this VVVIP guest then? its not queenie is it:eek:

OMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have an interview for tomorrow and it sounds absolutely perfect for me!!!!! 16 hours and flexible, tiny office just doing admin, I also went for an interview with an employment agency today and was bricking myself as I had to do Word and Excel tests and data entry. And it's not like there is much call for any of these in 6 years of mummyworld. I got 63% for Word, 60% for Excel (which I had never done before in my life and 93% accuracy for data entry.
Lovely to see you back Rage in Eden!!Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I'll be keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you Moggins - won't help the typing but who cares.
PPin hope you feel better again soon.
Ds just rang he's been charged £38 for a bounced direct debit (I told him to make sure he had the money in his account:rolleyes: ) and has tried in the branch and by phone to get it back but can't so I'll be sending him the reclaim letter off the site. As he says if it was a reasonable amount he'd be cross but resigned but nearly £40 is ridiculous.
I can feel that I'm brewing up a chest infection, the pain in my back has been gradually getting worse all week so I think I'll have to see the doc tomorrow.
Hugs to anyone who needs them.
