See we told you, you CAN do it....hope everything goes ok tomorrow and you get the position.

The carpet estimator has been into the flat (apartment) can anyone tell me the difference?????? so we know how much we really need and how accurate my measureing was. Have decided to wait until after we have moved to get the curtains altered....I have enough curtains for a start.

We went to the bank and paid in the cash from yesterdays sales and dropped off a large bag of assorted clothing for Age Concern, just chilling out today, we have another remover coming tomorrow. The cheapest quote we have had is £400 for 3 men and a van for 5 hours.

Have found out today that DD and DSIL are on holiday the week we hope to move. DSIL is coming next week to take down my brass and crystal light fitting in the sitting room and putting up an ordinary ceiling rose etc......its the only light fitting we have in the house all the others have shades on.

Chilling out today feeling a little delicate......................

    Afternoon everyone :hello:

    Congratulations moggins for tomorrow!

Well, long time no see! We had a lovely weekend in the Lake District again. After staying in a Travelodge on the M6 on Friday night, we were having breakfast in Lakeland's cafe in Windermere at 9.30am on the Saturday! Perfect start to the weekend. DH always has their bacon and egg muffin, which I have to say does look pretty tasty! We squeezed in a 5 mile walk before meeting up with our friends in the afternoon.

They are there for the whole week, but had invited us to bunk down in their cottage for one night. It was a bit of a shock when we got to the cottage to find that the clever people in the marketing dept of the holiday cottage company had failed to mention that it was a studio flat! Luckily, we get on very well with our friends and we'd all brought jim jams with us. DH were on the sofa bed in the corner, but I didn't sleep very well for fear of me/DH snoring. Not that I normally snore, but it'll be the time when we're sharing a room with other people!

I haven't had too much work this week, unfortunately. However, I've decided that whatever I earn from this week (I'll get paid for it next Friday) will go into my car saving fund. I originally thought that it was May when I had to pay my final massive installment, but it's June. A little more time to scrape together some savings. :o

I had an interview this morning for a teaching post. It was for a Year 1 class, and I'm not too sure about it. I taught the class for the whole morning, but I was appalled at some of the behaviour. Now I know that Year 1s sometimes aren't cherubs, but a couple of them were just downright rude. I've come across stroppy Year 6s, but NEVER EVER EVER rude Year 1 children. Luckily, some of the children were lovely. It's just a shame that they have to be in the same class as those that ruin their education. The job is mine, if I want it, but I'm not too sure whether I do want it. I've got to let them know tomorrow. If not, then there's plenty of supply work coming up.

I've also just posted an application form for a job to cover one of my friends who is going on maternity leave. Fingers crossed they like my application form as I KNOW that it's a nice school, plus the children like me as I've met them whilst doing supply teaching!

DH passed his latest Microsoft exam yesterday! :j :j That's 3 down and a further 4 to go! Luckily, his company has reluctantly agreed to pay the exam fees....... just not the training. At least it's better than nothing. He's going to put the money into his car savings account as he has already paid out for the fees. Before long, DH will be super-employable! We hope.

We've got some Jacob lamb meatballs tonight from the meatloaf that my dad bought us the other weekend. They smell gorgeous, but are currently stinking out the fridge, where they defrosted, so it'll be good to get them eaten. I think I'll have them with a tomato and basil sauce, rice and a salad.

    I'll go for now.

  • Well I am feeling please with my self I have finally got the conservatory tidied up a bit. Just got to work out where to hid the last few odd bit and pieces that don't belong any where. I have cooked steak pie for tea and apple pie and cakes for puds and pack lunches. This way I won't feel to bad going out tomorrow as I am up to date with the house work, just the kids beds to make. Even the tumble dryer is working (got 1 load dry outside before it rained) Today has been a good day just tea, walk and bed left to do. hope everyone else is having a good day. :j

Tru it's in Longlevens! A very short drive for me. It's just a one man band with an office attached to his house. Keep everything crossed for me, it sounds perfect in every way.
