Either you are just arguing for the sake of it goater, or you really don't understand the two bits that are shown above in bold, in which case I honestly can't believe your claim about writing polls.
Even if you don't think a more positive answer should be present, surely you believe "other" should be an option of why you don't go to the cinema. Otherwise you are bowing down to azari's very narrow beliefs of what's wrong with the cinema experience! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. OH and i do occasionally go the cinema - we're lucky in the sense of the cinema we prefer is pretty new and it has fab comfy seats and plenty of legroom for OH's bad leg. Popcorn and a drink can be had for about 6 quid and it has a nice bar. However we went last Saturday and it cost 21 quid for two of us  and I have an NUS card *The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

So now you are modifying your stance from 'you must have a positive option' (probably wise because absolutely no one agreed with you and it was quite obvious that it was a rule you'd pulled from thin air), to 'you must have 'other'.
Newsflash: This is a forum. Anyone with any intelligence knows that they can explain 'other' reasons in subsequent posts - as many have done whilst you continue to whine and mewl.Otherwise you are bowing down to azari's very narrow beliefs of what's wrong with the cinema experience!
They are not 'beliefs'. You can have up to ten options in a poll and that's what there are.
The only ones that I can see that were omitted and have been mentioned here were 'too far away', 'uncomfortable seats', and 'no subtitles'.There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
surely you believe "other" should be an option of why you don't go to the cinema.
Why?
"Other" could cover such a multitude of reasons that having this option wouldn't be of much use to anyone.
Reasons such as:
"I can't leave my dog alone"
"I'm agoraphobic"
"I'm alergic to peanuts so don't want to sit next to someone eating them"
"I don't like the colour of paint used in my local cinema"
Etc.
Etc.
Having an option suitable for everyone may well be necessary if the poll being conducted was part of a serious statistical or scientific study or being run for marketing research, but the poll on here hardly falls into any of those categories does it?
If there isn't an option that is the correct reason for someone not going to the cinema, then they don't have to partake in the poll.
By not voting, the results are not misleading as they are a true representation of the views of the people who did vote.0 -
Always like a Hot Dog at flicks. Problem is our robotic staff cannot cook. Sorry, it is an experence and event to go to the cinema, but poor staff, no food, just buckets of stale pop-corn, no proper food is the reason I do not go as often. Thougfh now, I have my !!!!!! first, then the film, with taken in bag of smarties. Then to the pub for some wobbleade.I hvae nt snept th lst fw mntes writg ths post fr yu t cme alng hre nd agre wth m!

We have "village hall" cinema - OK, you don't get a huge choice (reminds me of when I was a gal!) but great if you don't want to go far, and in a safe environment. Especially good for those who can't afford a movie channel on their TV.0

Sheer luxury."Village hall cinema"
This is my current "local" cinema.
A drive in that's been closed for refurbishment for the past few years, and judging from the state it's in at the moment, I don't think it will ever reopen.0 -

Obviously we're not going to agree on this. The reason you need an "other" is because without that option the polls results are misleading. The most popular answer may not be the biggest reason why people don't go to the cinema, it's only the most popular of azari's issues. There is absolutely no flexibility, it's agree with azari or don't take part. The OP is basically asking you to validate his reasons without giving you the option to disagree.
I always thought you worked in a science based role, so I am very surprised by your stanceThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Not changed my stance at all. You must always have a positive answer to validate any poll. However Shaun doesn't agree with that (which is of course his right). I was hoping we could find some common ground over "other" but sadly that dream was dashed.
I think if you argued the points more and did less of the personal attacks your posts would read better. I'm also not 100% sure why you constantly need validation off other posters. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
