No subtitles. They are only shown on work days at work times so far as I'm concerned they don't do them.

Plus the last two times i went there were hearing people being rude and complaining about the subtitles on the screen.

First time a manager came in and said he was turning subtitles off after pausing the film due to two people complaining until i stood up and said i was deaf. That shut them up.

Second time i managed to catch a mother and kid shouting at a manager over why subtitles were useless and pointless and that deaf people shouldn't be allowed in the cinema. So in a fit of rage i stepped in and gave the staff a break and gave her my piece of mind back.

So personally the cinema is rubbish to me due to the evil hearing people out there who don't give a blame about some who needs a little help.

    Now thats off my chest!

Difference is to what time you go and the certification.

Why do people have to talk, act up, fiddle with their phone etc. when they have paid for a film? ? ? ?

The price puts me off, I go to a Vue cinema as it's local to me, the tickets last night for a 19.30 showing of a 3D film were £14.95 each, then add a drink and it becomes very expensive. To be fair to Vue, the cinema is spotless and comfortable, but so expensive just to watch a film.

We go quite often to support our local cinema but I wouldn't if I had to pay some of the prices the big cinemas charge. Ours is 2.50 entrance. Went to see avengers a few weeks ago and for me and hubby with two drinks, bag of harribo and popcorn was just under 10 quid. They have about 4 films and three screens but stuff we miss we get on love film. Haven't been to cineworld since hubby once managed to spend 11 quid on half a bag of pic n mix and was too polite to give it back to them as I would have done.

What also puts me off is the location of the cinema we use, its a more up to date 1 buts its 12 miles away/20 or 25 minute drive away then you have to park (which will be limited as the council are selling off 1 of the car parks for housing). Used to use 1 nearer but its outdated, the seats aren't as good, your more likely to find bits of food/popcorn on your shoe but it is due to be replaced.

I go to the cinema as a night out, the cost is part of the night out.
No one needs to go anymore as it's out on DVD in a couple of months anyway, but we can't just sit in the house every weekend.

So the poll doesn't show the social aspect of going to the cinema so it's flawed. Let's be honest if you only want to go to the cinema to watch the latest film, then all the poll data is relevent.

The poll is missing another option. 'There is no cinema near you' My nearest cinema is 50 miles away through single track country roads so that stops me going.
