What stops you going to the cinema?

There have been a couple of threads recently about problems with the whole cinema experience.
Obviously, different things annoy different people but I would imagine that for most of us it is an accumulation of minor niggles that cause us to either give up the cinema or go less frequently than we otherwise would.
A night out at the cinema, possibly with a meal before or afterwards, is a composite experience and as such, even if you get your money back for a bad experience, it is little compensation for a ruined evening.
Which of the following factors stop you going to the cinema or cut down the frequency of your visits?

There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.

Other people.
That is:
1. those that can not keep quiet for just a couple of hours.
2. those that can not go for a couple of hours without eating something.
3. slurping of drinks and the endless rustle of bags of sweets etc.
Get rid of all that and I will start going again.0 -

Young kids!
My own. We can all go and watch a U or PG and OK I enjoy the big animations but you can only take so many a year and it costs a lot for 4.
To watch something maturer requires a babysitter which we can't get easily, or going on your own.. a bit sad on a Saturday night!
Not to mention wife and I would rarely find a film we both wanted to see.0 -
On a more serious note this whole post implys that people are put off going to the cinema.
How you can have a poll without at least one positive option e.g "nothing puts me off going to the cinema" is just ridiculous.
I find negative polls like this are pointless and ill thought out. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

My friends husband is deaf and we have to go to special subtitled screenings sometimes. Do those not exist near you? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

there are for foreign films"if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170 -
Cost of public transport to get there, for the two of us that's £10 by bus or £25 if we get a taxi home.I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -
The 25 mile round trip to the nearest! Add that to the cost of admission and it's a no,no.
A rented DVD is a better personal choice.
Another "flawed" poll with incorrect or insufficient options.0
