    Just read the thread?
Resubmitting by a recorded snail mail (if no confirmation) and a letter before action (if no cashback) normally do wonders.

Sorry:o Just read the whole thread and got the tips.
I've received the confirmation email, but not the cheque after 8 weeks. I've send an email to customer services, to consider it as LBA before I contact MCOL.

    Hope I did it right:o

Anything which only boasts "most" and "accepted" are a poor man's substitute for "all" and "paid".
  • Hello all
My contract with mobiles.co.uk ended in april 13 (HOORAY) and I now have a giff gaff sim.
However I too have had trouble claiming cashback from mobiles.co.uk.
They have not honoured the final paymnet despite the email saying it had been accepted.
The last two times this happened I sent snail mail and threatening letters and it did nothing. What worked eventually was getting through to someone on the phone.
Problem is that I have lost the number for customer service that gets you through to a real person. When I go through the main number I have to tap in my details and they just say sorry this account is not recognised. When I try and log in on their homepage thay say that again that my details are not recognised.
DOES ANYONE HAVE A PHONE NUMBER THAT WILL GET ME THROUGH TO A REAL PERSON?
    Many thanks DD

Send them a message via the link at the bottom of the claim page stating that despite being accepted (x weeks or months ago) you have still not received payment. If payment isn't confirmed and forthcoming within 10 days you will waste no further time in taking the appropriate legal action to obtain proper payment, plus court and incidental costs.

One of my recent claims was rejected but they saw the light quite quickly as they always do if you don't mess around with them.

    Thanx mobile junkie.:T
Message via claim page didn't work.
Called them and talked to a chap.Recorded the conversation after informing him.He immediately agreed to raise the cheque. Then a confirmation email came that a cheque has been raised for £43 instead of actual £53:eek:.Emailed him(he had kindly provided his personal email) the screenshot of my claim page showing the right amount. He apologized:p .Awaiting the cheque.:A
  • I made the mistake of buying 2 phones on mobiles.co.uk's cashback scam and I only got paid my cash back once. They owe me around £150 in unpaid cashbacks. Where is the government? Trading standards? Nobody cares. I have learnt my lesson and will never ever buy anything on cashback deal, or from mobiles.co.uk or from CarPhone!!!!!house for that matter. I hope they enjoy my £150! It will cost them more in the long run.

Yes, I could sue them, but lost working time will cost me more. Has anyone actually managed to get them to pay out? threatening to sue won't do it (I tried) so maybe sue, then get paid, then withdraw the legal claim? If a lot of us sue them maybe that will beat some sense into them.

Nonsense. Normally a Letter Before Action does the job IF you followed the T&C, have done everything correctly with your claim(s) and can prove this. In the worst case scenario you submit a claim to the the online Small Claims Court and they pay before the the actual call hearing.
This is something that you have to be prepared to when taking any redemption contract. It's a part of the game.

Any claim can be settled by the parties and withdrawn. It's a normal routine: After you make your claim

CPW aren't playing up at present. Not that I'm complacent; but I run more cashback contracts than most other people and rarely have a problem. When I do it's easy to sue; have done that recently with another dealer and the issue got resolved effectively and easily whilst others are still waiting for their cashback from months before mine was due.

Long may cashback contracts and CPW be around for those who follow the groundrules and prefer not to actually PAY for their mobiles and bundles.
  • I did try to threaten I'll sue - but that did not impress them. They didn't even bother to reply.
So I guess next step is to actually sue them in small claims and see if that gets me the money.

What reason do they give for not paying you?
It's not just about the money
