Mobiles.co.uk Cashback Rejected
Comments

1) The t&c at the point of sale address
2) Yes
3) Only if you followed the groundrules and printed everything at the point of sale.
Sounds like a lack of research, as usual. Perhaps you prefer to gamble.0 -
Can I send the bills by email
Based on my very limited (but very bad) experience, I would (ASAP) submit bill as a regular email attachment and simultaneously upload it using their uploader site. Rationale is that this (is simple to do and) might afford two potentially semi-independent attempts to navigate whatever barriers are flavour of the month.
If the electronic submissions are rejected then, while responding to the rejections, you can submit a paper bill by post and/or recorded post - and still be early in the 60 day countdown.
You might of course (unlike me) have a positive experience; I have a friend who told me he has had no problems whatsoever with multiple claims, all submitted by post.0 -
I am sorry mobilejunkie, but in my case I would say that too much research on my behalf has been done.
Hence my doubts.
On the welcome pack it says:
"The required bill needs to be sent to Mobiles.co.uk, P.O. Box 377,
Southampton, SO30 2PY and must be received within 60 days from the date
on the bill."
On the order dispatched email:
"You need to claim your Cashback by sending in the relevant bills detailed below.
Month Amount Bill Date Status
6 £6 April 2013
9 £9 July 2013
12 £12 October 2013
15 £15 January 2014
18 £18 April 2014
The bills need to be sent to:
Cashback Claims
Admail ADM4118
Loughborough
LE11 1YX"
On the same email confirming my order it says:
"Your line rental discount
Your offer = 16 Months FREE by redemption. What appears on your bill = £7.50.
How do you claim the discounted line rental?
Send your 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th and 18th monthly bills within 60 days of the date stated on the relevant airtime bills to us and we will credit you by cheque with £24.00.
This will save you £120.00 over the 24 month duration of the contract. In effect this means that your average line rental per month over the contract period is £2.50 per month."
As you can see at the top it says different amounts next to the months.
I don't know what your experience is with them but I can see lots of confusing info. Is this done on purpose?
Anyway thank you for trying to help, but please don't be sarcastic.0 -
Atezaina, yes they do try and confuse.
If you notice the month and amount, the amount is the same as the month, so the amount is wrong as it's just echoing the month.
You will get back 5 x £24's = £120.

I still use the Loughborough address, or did when I need to post, if at all now as that was the address at the time of my contract.
If you want to post, use the Southampton address, I believe all post is re-directed there anyway.
Not much you can do until April.
I've got to send off a Talk Mobile bill next month (1st claim) and may post this time and that's down to many issues with them with online claims. But, then again, I might just save the bill and email??
Good luck, but you will get paid if you send the correct bills in on time.

Well, my "sarcasm" wouldn't be needed if you'd bothered to do your research. I won't waste my time answering your (unnecessary) questions again. I would add that, if I were you, I would make sure I know exactly what I'm doing with the correct claims and dates rather than worrying about the address.0 -
Thank you very much Lynsey and Brick, I would follow your advice.0
-
Atezaina, your welcom pack does state differing amounts and although I usually believe they do try to trip you up on this occasion I am inclined to think as Lynsey does in that it is just a !!!! up.
Later in the pack there are two separate mentions of the cashback being more consistent ie.
"Send your 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th and 18th monthly bills within 60 days of the date stated on the relevant airtime bills to us and we will credit you by cheque with £24.00"
and
"This will save you £120.00 over the 24 month duration of the contract. In effect this means that your average line rental per month over the contract period is £2.50 per month."
So I can't see them getting out of paying you the correct amount.0 -

And if using the uploader, I would suggest entering both order number AND mobile number (despite their big red OR) so as they have one less reason for responding with meaningless emails that don't identify the mobile number in question.
That said, they may of course still respond with emails that don't identify the mobile - based on my experience.0 -
They will. But I NEVER "put both"; it has been reported on here that doing that causes problems and putting the order number (at least dozens of times if not hundreds) has caused me none. That is, of course, provided they KNOW the order number; if they don't they haven't followed the groundrules.0

How long should Mobiles.co.uk take to send cashback cheques out. They have confirmed that my 1st claim was successful and say that the cheque can take another 7-8 weeks. Is this normal or are they dragging their feet again?0
