Yep, that's what I have done this year. Got a photo frame making kit from Poundland (they have a variety), wrote 'I love you, mum' on it with the pipe cleaners, decorated it nicely and stuck a photo of me in it. Hope she'll like it!0 -
MY LUCKY MUM HAS GOT A FANTASTIC SET OF 12 PLACE MATS FOR HER TABLE.
FREE with my Gardeners World mag, I got a calendar with 12 a4 sized beautiful close up pictures of various flowers. I have laminated them (laminating sheets :200 for £6.97), tied them in garden twine and made a little label to hang off it.
It looks loveley, personal and it's all in the name of recycling! You could even do photos of the family? Anything from free calenders is perfect though because they're free (no prinitng) and already a4!
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'VE GOT FIVE KIDS, SO I HOPE THEY'RE READING ALL THESE HINTS!!!0 -

If you live near an Outlet centre (McArthur Glen, Bicester etc), I would say "hie thee thence"!
I have come away triumphant from the Next Retail Outlet near to me, with a Sterling Silver necklace and earring set. Set with pink mother of pearl in a three-teardrop design, it came complete with a beautiful little black velvet jewel bag, and a silver polishing cloth to keep the set bright and shiny. It would have been a perfect gift for mother's day.
For ONE POUND! The marked price is £12.99. Hundreds of other pieces of jewellery to choose from - none seemed to be more than £3.0 -
Hi.
Go to Poundland, just got a brilliant mum mug and teddy bear packaged together.
I have to buy from both grandmothers off my daughter, so Poundland comes in very useful.
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

I live in Thatcham in Berkshire.......
(My brothers Birthday in 18th March, Sister is 25th March, Mothers day 18th March).
So I'm combining all three-and driving up for the weekend - and here's something - SPEND TIME WITH MY MUM. (Of course - if you live near your Mum - it wont even cost you the petrol - but I'm combining 3 events to economise)
Each year I go up for Mothers Day (or as near the date as I can)... cook her dinner, give her kitchen a good clean, repair things for her (last year it was broken shelving, a kitchen drawer and a cupboard) - clear any bulky rubbish for her down to the council "dump" etc. All those things that she can't manage.
Then we site down in the livingroom for the evening - with a glass of wine (usually a bottle that she's been given at Christmas or something) - and TALK. YES - TALK - the TV gets turned off and we talk about when I was a kid, how much trouble I got into, her hopes and fears - anything she wants to talk about....and she totally has my full attention... even my mobile phone gets turned off!!!!!
TIME - is the most precious gift you can give... ... and the best way to make mum feel loved and important (once you have given your time you can't earn it or get it back!!)

that is so touching I am almost blubbing! Yes, breakfast in bed and sunday lunch made for me while I relax at the gym and spa ready for when I get home, to a tidy house. That would make my Mother's Day.:A0

For me the best thing I could receive from my little one would be .... a card:o
My ex doesn't talk to me anymore (he left me and can't handle that I'm getting over it while he's still bitter and twisted), and he never gets me a birthday / mothers day / xmas card or present from ds.
While I don't think much of him anymore I still respect that he is ds's daddy and want ds to grow up with a good understanding of manners and decency and therefore I still spend (only a small amount;) ) my money on cards / gifts for him from ds.
Would really mean a lot to me if he made an effort for ds benefit:rolleyes:Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
Mortgage Overpayments Pot £15870
