Wired Network, Best Router?

I think I will leave it for now and try tomorrow again about 2pm.
As always, THANKS for all the help!0 -
It's saying no cable or router detected because the USB adapter device isn't working, though you shouldn't need to use the router CD on the old m/c.
Please confirm that you have copied all 7 files in the beemerworld link, plus the NDIS.VXD to both the directories mentioned in the link.
If you have, we'll try installing the drivers _before_ fitting the adapter. Therefore, boot in safe mode and remove the USB adapter in Device Manager and any software for it in Add/Remove Programs. Then reboot in normal mode and install the drivers. Then reboot again and fit the adapter.0 -

Sorry I had to leave in a hurry yesterday but my sister was rushed into hospital. I know I said I would be online today at Mums & Dads but I was involved in a car accident.
I will get to Mums & Dads computer again shortly but I will be at the dentist tomorrow so it could be the weekend before I am down again now.0 -
No worries, take your time - come back when you're ready. Sorry to hear about your accident.0

Thankfully, it was nothing major but the last time I had an accident I lost my sight for 2 months but was lucky enough to regain sight in one eye. I also had to have 19 operations on my eyes since. Every thing was reported to the DVLA and my insurance company since the first accident.0
