You definitely need to uninstall Norton and you may need to visit the Symantec website to get a removal tool if it won't successfully uninstall from Add/Remove programs. Personally I would uninstall both anti-virus programs and then install the one that you want to use i.e. AVG as it does not take long to re-install again.

I uninstalled both and AVG would not install correctly for me as there was supposed to be a corrupt file. When I looked at the Windows security settings I got the following link, http://www.microsoft.com/uk/athome/security/update/windowsvistaav.mspx.

It has downloaded this time!! :j I am running it at the mo and checking for viruses. How long does it normally take when this is the first time it has been run on the computer and is doing a full scan?

I ran the anti virus on both computers and there was no viruses found on either computers. :j0
