  • Hi everyone, hoping you can help me with this...

Had a trial run of snowman soup through the week, OH not me, smell of hot chocolate makes me want to puke :( (sorry bit too much info) anyhow since it was first time with these I have a few questions for those that have had it before, so I can pass onto my sister for niece and nephew.....

    1) Are marshmallows supposed to be that sweet? (Don't like those either) OH said they are too sweet and so ruin it?

2)So the candy cane stirring stick, just use sparingly for stirring? Left it in cup and it went all weird, should I advise just stir a little then eat stick?

3)Do you give with the advice to put cream on top so marshmallows sit on that and not in hot chocolate? As apparently this also ruins the marshmallows? (according to OH)

I know it sounds stupid but these have been running through my head and since I don't eat/drink them I didn't know what to do.

ON MY OWN went to xmas fayre at brentwood today.

I went to this yesterday :rudolf:

Other than DS having a strop because I would not buy him a £33 gold coloured xbox controller, I had a really pleasant visit. Managed to keep most of my ££ in my pocket (as the bits I liked were really pricey), but picked up a few ideas :)

I haven't got mine yet either. I think it might be a bit slower if they are being posted. :o

Popped into Tesco last night [on my way to the pub lol] and had a look at the half price gift sets. My store is tiny, but they still had some nice things. I want to pop out in the morning to a larger store and see what they have - I think tomorrow is the last day, so I can't put it off. Will do it first thing as I have an interview to prepare for, which is in the afternoon. Eck.

I went to Ikea last week too and finally picked up the kraft paper gift wrap. I saw the little santa bags, which are very cute, but I was good and left them there. For one thing, the store is 5 minutes from where I work, and for another, I couldn't think of a use for them - buying them didn't seem very MSE. :o I am so tempted to start wrapping things up, but I really want to save it until nearer Christmas - to help me stay feeling christmassy. Temptation might prove too much though lol. :p

    1) Are marshmallows supposed to be that sweet? (Don't like those either) OH said they are too sweet and so ruin it? Yes they are, and no they don't. It is a matter of personal taste. The person receiving it doesn't HAVE to put the marshmallows in the chocolate if they don't want to.

2)So the candy cane stirring stick, just use sparingly for stirring? Left it in cup and it went all weird, should I advise just stir a little then eat stick? Yes.

3)Do you give with the advice to put cream on top so marshmallows sit on that and not in hot chocolate? As apparently this also ruins the marshmallows? (according to OH) No. Again, it is a matter of personal taste. Some people can't stand cream, so wouldn't want it in their hot chocolate. The marshmallows are supposed to "melt" into the chocolate.

I know it sounds stupid but these have been running through my head and since I don't eat/drink them I didn't know what to do.

My answers in blue. These are just my own opinion. :p
