Oh meant to say we bought a printer last week :j so I can now print off poems for the family photo frames on cream card as originally had done them at the library and only printed onto white paper. It means means the card for my sisters reindeer poo will now be printed instead of written on and I can re-do the label on my jar of nothing and bah humbugs. Bit sad that I'm so excited for this! :rotfl:13 projects in 2013 0/130

Morning all,
There's a thick frost here too, only slightly spoilt by the garden being littered with remnants of people's fireworks!

Well I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere with Christmas, all nieces and nephews are done, all siblings are done (with 11 between us that is no mean feat!) - now all I have to sort out is parents and OH. I have a few ideas already!
At this rate I'll be on track for spending December doing nothing but decorating the house and baking Christmas goodies, just as I'd planned - its the best part!! :xmassmile0 -
i don't know if it helps anyone but I picked up pots of goo (with spiders in) and pots of putty for 50p each in my local asda today (leftovers from Halloween. Great for 'tat' stocking fillers.
(and OT they also had scream eggs and smartie pumpkins reduced to 25p.... yum yum).loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Spent most of the weekend in the kitchen practising some Mrs Beeton Christmas recipes for our family get together. Listened to the Christmas radio station and decided to have a couple of small Harveys Bristol Cream sherries - my Christmas drink. Really enjoyed myself, put me in the mood.
But, a bonus.....the get together has been postponed from the previously arranged 8th December (too early really to exchange presents, confusing for the children) to 29th December. The bonus being, of course, that I can pick up some bargains in presents and food, hopefully, as the sales begin.
We have plenty of other Christmassy things to look forward to so I really don't mind waiting. Going to Cologne at the beginning of December for the Christmas markets, got a few meals out organised with friends and family and I have booked a slot at the Harrods Grotto for us and the grandchildren.
We have actually chosen to spend Christmas day itself just chilling at home, on our own (me and OH). This will be our first Christmas at home since we moved here in December 2010 so it should be lovely - nice food, drink and tv. We have told people that they can pop in casually if they want to say hello but that there will be no formal food laid on. Bliss!0 -
Just spotted on the o2 priority moment thread: free hot drink at cafe nero all week :-) no other purchases necessary.
great to warm you up while you are Christmas shopping.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Morning All
Big thanks to everyones wonderful ideas in this thread, I spent yesterday baking baileys fudge, chocolate slabs, hot chocolate spoons and chocolate fudge, I brought them in to work to practise peoples reactions to taste, design and how I wrapped it. They love it so much a few people have asked how much I charge!! Great feeling. Going to sort out family hampers later today and work out what all else I need and of course actually order the baskets from ebay!

Well it's been decided (well me and mum gang pressed dad in to), a Christmas shopping trip tomorrow. Poundland and Wilkinsons look like good places to start. Been marking down what I want to look at. Has anyone seen the vintage tags in Poundland, do they look good in person?“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”

Wow, everyone is very busy - only 50 days to go! :T Funny, if I post that on Facebook I get moaned at, but on here everyone is happy about it
I found this pic when I was googling snowman poop labels - does anyone know where I can get these plastic test tubes? I have been looking on amazon/ebay/google but can't seem to find the right ones
Also - to anyone making chocolate slabs...how do you get round the problem of the chocolate separating/clouding when it sets?0 -
