I've just made orange, red & yellow skittles vodkas & had a taste of one today :eek:. Have had to resort to bunging a few more skittles in (mine were also just about see through), so think I'm also not cut out for it. Maybe I should've used a more expensive vodka :rotfl:

Are you giving yours away?

I put 15 skittles in each 1/4 bottle of vodka. They all changed colour straight away. The orange one keeps going clear and I have to keep shaking it to get the colour back.

This was my trial run. If it turned out ok I was going to make some for my Dad, but not now.

Have just tried the orange one and have realised what they all taste like

Really don't know what to do with it now. It's against everything I stand for to throw vodka away. But I can't see a drunk person wanting to this stuff:rotfl:

Am sticking to my semi- homemade pina colada from now on.

Is a quarter 250mls or there abouts? I found a recipe which I reduced so I could make 3 lots of 200mls & they had put about 40 skittles per 200ml so that's what I did. Maybe you need to shove a few more in. Might be better than the thought of chucking it. No idea what else can be done with it.

This is the first vodka page I came across http://cocktails.about.com/od/spirits/ht/infusions.htm which I was googling last month following a sample of strawberry and vanilla vodka. This stuff smelled like heaven but tasted sooooo wrong! Had a kick like a donkey and wanted to replicate the kick but make it taste better. Think I'll hold the skittles and try to find a chocolately type recipe or use real fruit. Thanks Own My Own for reporting back.

Used 70cl bottle, so the mini bottles were 17.5.

i've not read back yet (will do in morning) but for anyone who has got (or planning on getting) the rudolph scene it I strongly suggest buying the film to watch at least once first.

Played it tonight with DS1 and it's brilliant (even for an almost 4 yr old) but there were questions like "who is saying this" and "finish the next line of the song" which unless you have seen the film you just have to guess.
