  • Right Im back & got out of my sick bed to find the laptop, the thought of 100s of pages to read tomorrow was making me feel worse! So had a good catch up to cheer me up and make me feel better!

gleek thanks for the Dunelm lord & ladship mugs they are brilliant. My mum is a big Downton Abbey fan and that would be a funny little gift!

vicsh You decoration plans sound great & very like how my parents do there house. IT was my first xmas in my own home last year, so I picked navy/silver & white decorations. I love them and will be sticking with the same theme this year!

doodygirl what is this offer of the radio times that you talk of!!?? This sounds a good deal but ive never heard of it before!

his missus a reading hamper sounds like a brilliant idea. My sister would love this sort of thing, but since shes just started uni & has 100s of books to read for her course I think a gift of books would tip her over the edge! Im defo keeping this in mind for future presents though!

msgigglewick you are so creative! I love the elf bag!

And also thank you to who ever mentioned these 'Santa is coming to ..' books, definatly buying my goddaughter the Liverpool one. Seen waterstones has it for 4.99 with free delivery.

    Back to sleep :santa2:
  • Got the email from Hawkins Bazaar, not sure if there wasn't much in the first place or whether I had missed most of it since I've been out this afternoon. Anyway didn't get anything from the sale but did manage to get a few things for the last person I needed(well apart from OH but he isn't included in the shopping right now)so that is us done for everyone. Apart from the stuff I need for reindeer poo and snowman soup. So looking forward to not having to trek around the packed shops in the cold searching for god knows what for people.

    Hi All

Well I took my first trip to the range today... It was ok. They had quite a bit of Xmas stock out (Bolton) and I thought some of their single christmas decs were good for a pound.

Picked up two packs of candy canes... Said £1 each but went through till at 25p!!! They did have the Cadbury choc coins. 2 for £1.79.

Got a few crafty bits for my nieces hampers at £1 each but not much else.

Popped into BM on way home... More candy canes. Green and red this time and a christmas doormat!!! £1.99. They have red ones with Santa on and icy blue colour with a snowman on. Ill try and post a pic later.

Poundstretcher have packs of retro sweets for 89p. Good for hampers. 4 giant roles of love hearts, Parma violets, fizzers.
