Well done on the gifts and even better the way you handled your DH :) Also glad tenant paid over some more :)

Weather here is grim for the 1st day of the hols (PD day at school so half term starts here - although no money as yet as my DH holding back too, even though i have seen what his wage slip says!)

Get your DH stupidly drunk and try the route I did. So easy ;) But cheaper still try Robin's approach :rotfl: and it will probably go down better with your DH too :D

  • Am sharing today's post with you from the lovely (NOT) b@rcl@ys!

    Dear Mrs DFW321,

Thank you for your recent payment which has been credited to the above account.

On checking our records, it has come to our notice that an amount of £1,075.40 is still owed on the account.

In order that you do not incur further charges and that we may fully clear the balance I would be grateful if you would pay the outstanding amount by one of the following methods:
    • By debit or credit card by calling the above number.
    • Direct from one of your Barclays accounts by calling the above number.

    .....

..........Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm what can I say. I've now been on a dmp since 2011 (January) and have been paying them every month and I have no credit cards (cut up and defaulted derrrrrrrrrrr) and it's only just come to their attention :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: as they asked so nicely though, i'll just go out and pick the money from my money tree growing in the garden. Blimey. Stupid. It did give me a laugh though. :rotfl::rotfl:

What is it with them and their silly antics. OH just had a moan to me because he is going to be slightly o/d by the end of the month. Nothing to do with buying carp on fleabay, beer at the supermarket every week and wanting regular holidays. My response to maybe not do any of those things, wasn't very well taken - bit like a dose of salts really

Well done you on how you tackled him, really not fair to be prioritising beer over kids food x

No wonder I have no male readers in here :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I am always moaning about him and stereotyping all other men just the same as my silly aRssed husband!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: But the more I talk to people the more I see the ones who aren't like him are the minority :eek::eek:!

Cross posted - Stupid Barcl@ys, I used to get these letters too but fingers crossed they seem to have stopped now, just get the 'you need to increase your payment to clear the debt sooner' now, which I respond to with a, look this is how much I've got, this is how much you can have, accept it or I'll go into formal insolvency and then you'll get nothing. Seems to work, just hoping it continues that way as I'm not ready to retire/resign from my job just yet :)

Can't remember, is your dmp self managed or done by a firm?

All done by the CCCS whom i think are called stepchange now. So i generally just read them and throw them away and mention them to the DMP people who tell me they are automated and just to ignore them. They are welcome to take me to court or default me I still can't pay them anymore

Well I didn't resist the heating :(! It really is too cold just like those cold November days where I umm and ahh about the heating. I needed to get some washing dry though so gave in in the end! I have been to the gym, home bathed in my new bargain bath stuff ;) and dressed in woolly socks, jumper and thick leggings!

I've put the slow cooker on and am making a curry i just hope it's cooked in time! I should have done it this morning but forgot :o i've browned the chicken so hopefully it's already half cooked and cut the potato pieces up quite small (smaller than usual!) so hope it will be done by 5/6pm! (homemade take away night lol)

I'm still really upset by the programme I watched last night (branded a witch not the other one) and the little boy on there haunted me all night in my sleep :( and still today. He must have been the same age as my ds2 and was being beaten, had enaemas in him and was told not to go to the toilet (???) he was made to drink boiling waxy stuff (not sure what it was but looked awful) all because someone had said he was a witch (probably cos he wet the bed or something) I'm so upset by it and there is nothing I can do to help any of those poor children :(:(

Anyway off to watch hoarder next door and have a cuppa and a little nose on here and try and forget about that programme (but I feel bad for just forgetting too, they can't just forget whilst they are being tortued :( ) xx

ETA: I've just taken out the £10 card to convert to £20 of petrol with shell. I wanted to do it when I got Martin's email earlier in the week but had no money! So whilst I remembered i've quickly done it :)
