    We will ramble together
The meeting went well and the King went to school today and gave me the biggest hug when I picked him up, very glad he was a happy boy in school.

Not sure re prices as I am not local...but think it will last you. Stuff like asparagus is yummy but pricey, but of course that's cos it's an intensive crop that takes years I seem to remember to produce a crop..
I was in the greengrocers today. Got a real haul, a massive bag full( with 2 bunches of asparagus as I love it SO SO much) and it was £13. Million times better than a SM!

Good idea to travel to both in a single trip...very MSE:money:

    Morning DFW,

I love our local farmshop, although it did get a bit pricey recently when they were obviously re-cooping costs from their refurb. I prefer the meat from there and whilst its more expensive its much nicer from the supermarket!
I think yours is good value too, did you have a look at the meat?

Yay to the tenant paying, hope shes paid the rest today xx

  • Hi all :j

Brizzle- I think ours would have only been around £22-23 for just the fruit & veg (2 big bag full) but I picked up other bits too and they don't give a receipt so i couldn't break down the costs :o (am obsessed over food prices :rotfl:) Mummy- I did indeed look at the meat and it looked yummy but definitely more expensive  BUT local. And that's what I'm trying to get, as much local food as possible, ya know cut down on my carbon foot print, be a bit greener and support local businesses  I've tried the bank today and nothing there but I've no energy for fighting her today (see below as to why)!

Well I spent last night painting at my friend's house (our business to be in progress...) and it was really fun. Had a good natter, didn't cost a penny (well apart from the 11,000p I paid her back ) I got home pretty late though at around 11.15pm (considering i'm usually tucked up asleep by this point ;)) and literally 10 mins after dozing off I could hear someone being sick. Yes again. This house needs to be sectioned off and quarantined! It was DS2 this time. Sick all over his bed, himself, the bathroom floor and everything along the way :(. I cleaned him up and put him in my bed and I bet you can guess what happened next! He was sick on my bed :( So got the sick bucket from ds1 room and he was sick constantly for around half hour whilst I cleaned up the bed, DH rubbed his back, we got back into bed and DS2 didn't want to sleep. So I get myself a cup of herbal tea and ben 10 dvd for ds2. After half hour he's dozing off, yay i think so lay him down, lay myself down and 5 seconds later i'm soaked! Literally soaked. From sick :( It was awful. Yuk, yuk, yuk. So cleaned everyone up again (showers this time) and the bed had escaped damage as I'd laid a towel down so that went on the sick washing pile (oh it's quite a collection this morning!) However some had got on my pillow. My expensive hungarian goose down pillows :( *sigh* we eventually got to sleep after a few more episodes at around 4am. at 5am DS2 was up again :undecided he wanted breakfast as he was starving!!!

So this morning i've done 2 washes, broken MSE rules and taken two pillows to the dry cleaners :o (lovely lady on phone explained I could do it myself but I need a tumble dryer of which I do not own) Popped to shop (again, I know, I know) spent £8 on arrowroot biscuits, ginger nut biscuits & chamomile tea. The two boys have been told they are not allowed anything to eat today unless it ends in biscuit!!!! (oh forgot to add ds1 was also sick again last night whilst I was at friend's house!!!!!!) Been on phone to both schools trying to explain long absences and i'm just generally pooped. Still have beds to make, hoovering to do and washing to put away (heating is on again to dry washing as it is truly dismal out there :() pretty !!!! day if I'm honest so far! However I do feel better for getting it all out! :o

Anyway off to check bank again :o:think: and decide on suitable punishment for tenant (that is usually administered in my head) and perhaps make a cuppa :coffee: xx

Oh my poor dear girl, yuck and hug all in one message x

hope this makes you feel better:

A doctor was having an affair with his nurse. Shortly afterward, she told him that she was pregnant. Not wanting his wife to know, he gave the nurse a sum of money and asked her to go to Italy and have the baby there.
"But how will I let you know the baby is born?" she asked.
He replied, "Just send me a postcard and write "spaghetti" on the back. I'll take care of expenses." Not knowing what else to do, the nurse took the money and flew to Italy.
Six months went by, and then one day the doctor's wife called him at the office and said, "Dear, you received a very strange postcard in the mail today from Europe, and I don't understand what it means."
The doctor said, "Just wait until I get home and I will explain it to you."
Later that evening the doctor came home, read the postcard, and fell to the floor with a heart attack. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital emergency room. The head medic stayed back to comfort the wife. He asked what trauma had precipitated the cardiac arrest.
So the wife picked up the card and read: "Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti - Two with sausage and meatballs; two without."

  • Evening all, just a quick update whilst DH upstairs with kids ;)..

Today has been a nsd so far :T but i need petrol so i'm going to pop out and get some in a bit before heading to friend's house to do some more painting. Tenant has not paid anymore. I've sourced the HB number to ring so will do that tomorrow or Friday (debating giving her warning or not).

Had payout on one survey site £5 amazon voucher. Reached payout on another, £10 but no amazon vouchers left so will leave it till they are back in stock. Once I have the £15 of vouchers I will buy the ingredients for more washing powder stuff and will try and make enough vouchers before that lot run out again to keep paying for it with surveys ;)

We have 6 peppers growing on our plant :T, the tomato plant stands at around .5m so not sure when to pinch it out? It's in a pot not the ground so i'm guessing I shouldn't let it get too big. Have to get some compost for evening primrose plants and a runner bean plant that is ready to pot.

Today 3 more chairs in my kitchen broke :( they were on their way out anyway but was hoping to hold out a little longer! The wood had split all up the legs. It may have been like this for some time but today I moved the chairs whilst hoovering and mopping and cleaned them and that's when I noticed :( so need to source at least 3 chairs so we have one each  not much on ebay atm. I emailed one seller asking if they would finish early and they will but for £20 rather than the £10 they are up for (4 chairs) and only then did I notice one had a huge split all the way down the wood. So a little worried all of them may go the same way  so might just leave those!

DS2 back to nursery today, it's only a couple of hours and he was ready and the head teacher said it would be fine :T ds1 is going back tomorrow whether he likes it or not :D and DD up to her usual tricks of crying and wailing each time i take her to school and then again when i see her at lunch to drop ds2 off (i have to walk straight past her class on way to nursery!) May ask my neighbour to bring her in for me to see if it is any better. Little madam

I have £69 in my bank so have allocated as follows: £50 petrol for which I have a 10p off every litre voucher so hoping it takes it down at least a pound so i can get the £20 cash out (for tolls = £4 and food at weekend and any extra balls they need on paintballing) . Hoping the £50 will be enough petrol to get me to mums and back and the paintballing once there  it's practically on empty atm so not sure ! There will be nothing in the bank after either so I hope it's enough I really do not want to raid pots when some have only just been topped up :( !

Right that is all for now have to put kids to bed and pop out
