not my vehicle, its a company car though so i paid it. Also some research has shown that peps are getting done for this under bylaw 14.If it was not railway land and my vehicle i might have risked it.
But we have advice about company cars on here, if you get a ticket and it's a company or lease/hire car all you had to do was write & say it was your car and you want to appeal as the ticket is unfair (blah blah, whatever you want to say). Then NCP would send some junk mail to you, that's all.
So what if it was railway land? The ticket came from NCP not a Train Operator so it was never issued under rail bylaws, cannot be changed to a real penalty, and was never enforceable. Your research was flawed - who did you ask, NCP?!
You've been had, what a shame.
Don't fall for such a rip-off again, especially after finding your way here. You are the only only one who has paid in years AFTER coming to MSE!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

After the stacks of advice which correctly cover every aspect of this caper... Byelaw 14, private parking scams, employer/car hire positions, driver liability and post-October changes, THIS goes and happens.0 -
Each to their own eh? Flawed reaseach maybe. But ive found a case where this went to court with advise from a similar site to this (the guy lost and paid well over the odds court fees etc) and chose to pay it. Not worth causing hassle with my employeers is it?0

Which company issued the ticket? - we are fully aware of Byelaw 14 cases where the driver has copped it (and at least one where the Reg Keeper copped it) but these cases were all from the one company - the only one we are aware of where your advice might have been slightly adjusted if you'd told us who it was.
We know NCP do not pursue byelaw14 tickets ever.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

So...NCP WILL proceed with court action, they say. Ho hum...they will have to prove who was driving first, I thought.. and I still have the valid ticket anyway....in my teapot!
Dont suppose you have an update as to what happened in your case? Im in a similar position and have the Newlyn Letters though now...0 -
This is an ancient thread so why not read current ones?

Everyone gets these letters. If you get an actual small claim never ignore that, but the letters? Carry on ignoring if you never appealed at first.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi
Im new here but this thread was very helpful as I just got the ticket today as my one flipped over(its a free car park for 2 hours but ticket needs to be displayed) same as Dinkys but fell on on sit and was wondering if she managed to get out of it without any "scar". After reading what's on the back of the penalty charge Im in "should i pay or let it go?" hence i want to know is she got away with it?
I got my ticket from UKPC.0 -
