Just a little update...the 28 days to pay the full amount was up on the 21st May....still waiting with bated breath and heaving bosom but as yet, not a dickiebird...I rather assumed they would be quick off the mark with a follow up letter...but patience is a virtue and all good things come to those who wait because I did hope for at least one threatening letter....I expect I have tempted providence now though and it will arrive tomorrow!!! :-)

Be careful Dinky! If you don't pay, there may well be further action (ANOTHER final demand) and escalating costs (their postage bill will go up).

Cor Blimey girl now you've gone and got Tonto doing his dance of the heaving bosoms and Silver just galloped off to the filly at the other end of town. Better go find him quick then throw a bucket of cold water over Tonto. ;)

I knew it! I tempted providence and she did not let me down! The first letter arrived this morning...Notice to Keeper/Driver.the PCCN offered a discounted payment if the payment was received within 14 days...it is now too late to pay the discount amount and the full parking charge is now due...£75.00

'The driver now has 28 days to pay the outstanding charge. We understand you to be the driver. Failure to pay may result in NCPL instructing a debt collection agency to collect any sum due. The debt collection agency may commence legal proceedings against the driver through the courts...etc etc.

    :-(

The debt collection agency may commence legal proceedings....

Or then again, it may not, as it would be illegal for it to do so!

I suppose they do fool SOME gullible people. But not you, eh, Dinky?
  • Well..the thing is...'We understand you to be the driver'... rather a telling phrase to my simple mind.
We actually have 9 vehicles registered to our home address, 6 cars and 3 motorcycles and the whole family are insured to drive these vehicles (not that you would get me on a motorbike..my legs are too short for a start!).... so NCP might have a little difficulty proving who was actually driving the car in question on that particular date....and I am only happy to defy them because my son (the question is..which son??? hee hee) DID buy the ticket in the first place. He is no thief.
So..another 28 days now to wait for the next instalment... ;-)

Standard phrase which tries to con you into either an admission or an angry letter saying "rubbish it wasn't me it was xxxxxxx" either way job done... don't believe ANYTHING a scammer tells you. I even check my birth certificate when they write to me to make sure I am the person they addressed the letter to...
  • Just received a parking ticket from ncp whilst parked at a railway station, I believed I purchased a ticket from the machine using my visa and displayed this on my dashboard. I came back to find this parking charge and checked my "ticket" this is in very small letters that it was cancelled but does show my payment attempt.

I have appealed online against it as stupidly hadn't read these threads. Where do I stand now as I have accepted I did park but believed I met their terms and conditions and as stated happy to pay the intended 4.90. I do expect them to refuse but I am worried about possible court action due to my job, if I continue to refuse to pay. Please help! :(

NCP are big enough and wise enough to know court action is not viable. Just ignore them from now on.
