Two points firstly I have it somewhere I will try and dig it out, but a further email stated that membership of the BPA AOS qualifies as reasonable cause. So an AOS member asks and they will receive.
Secondly as we all know PPC's not on the AOS will get info from their friends on the AOS!0 -
That's what could well have happened. Wasn't there a case involving that recently?
The answer of course is for the poster to obtain the info from DVLA about TO WHOM his details were released.
An AOS member obtaining details to pass to a third party is clearly misconduct.0 -

Yes Parkforce/UK Parking Enforcement Agency were gaining over 100 keepers details a day for themselves and as an agent for other companies.0 -
just received this today...
Dear xxxxxxx
Thank you for email below which refers to a parking incident which you experienced with Carparking & Select Services. We have given your case the reference xxxxxxxx and would ask that you use this on any future correspondence.
I can confirm that Carparking & Select Services is NOT a Member of the Approved Operator Scheme which was developed to bring a degree of regulation to an industry without primary legislation. Therefore it is with regret that we are unable to actively assist you in this matter. If you wish to take it further you are advised to exhaust the operator's appeal process and if you are not satisfied with the outcome you may wish to pursue the matter through the courts.
While non-Members operate under no legislation as parking on private land is unregulated, there is a clear expectation that our Members operate in a professional manner and those who are responsible for parking enforcement on private land sign up to our Code of Practice. We receive a number of complaints about our Members and all of them are investigated. If following an investigation, a member is found to be in breach of the Code, they would be subject to our Sanctions Scheme. Under this scheme Operators who breach the Code can expect to receive a number of penalty points depending on the severity of the offence. As with driving offences, once an operator's 'licence' has reached twelve points in any given 12-month period, then they are likely to be faced with suspension or expulsion. The Code of practice can be reviewed on our website- https://www.britishparking.co.uk.
Many thanks for bringing this matter to my attention and may I wish you all the best with your case.
Yours sincerely

What they don't say is that the average penalty point given out for any "sanction" is 0.0000000001
They said pursue the matter through the courts, so sue the PPC for harassment0 -

So now send a copy of that with a complaint to the DVLA's Data Protection Compliance Manager saying that you require an explanation of who obtained your data and how that applicant fulfilled the 'reasonable cause' requirement. Put them on notice that their reply will be referred to the ICO as a breach of Data Protection if the explanation is not satisafactory.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
