Was only applicant for temporary promotion at work but still need to be interviewed! Yikes! Its more nervewracking when its someone you actaully know! Not sure when it'll be but sooner rahter than later she said,. she's phoning people for interview panel tomorrow and will get them in at first available slot! Fingers crossed.

No major changes money wise, just keeping things moving and chipping away a bit at a time.

Was interviewed today for temp promotion and got it! Also been offered an interview next week for perm post in another school. Finding Jan very slow financially although I'm getting a very very small wage rise backdated to 1st Dec (0.5%). Had 4 birthdays this month but again managed not to use the dreaded 'debt card'. Started on my challenges for 2008 and using that money to clear overdraft. Also well underway with all my surveys. I sent of to AQA again but not heard anything back nopt even application pack.

Well done on the promotion. All good experience and presumably will look good on your CV and is more examples of experience to tell during an interview for future jobs. Will it mean a temporary wage rise too?

Strange about AQA, maybe send them an email saying you have heard nothing as it will show you are keen. Also there is a thread which you could maybe post on and get some tips.

Hi taxi73 I'm doing well, you? I'm plodding along with the debt free crusade and think this year I'll make really big dent.

The temp promotion has a wahe rise round about £3000 more so not sure houw much monthly but everything helps. Went to visit the school for next weeks interview and think I'm going to pull out as very soon after starting (if I got it) I'd need to act up to depute head which is something I'm not 'credibly' ready for and find the prospect daunting those it'd mean a temporay salary around £40000 but I think that just highlights that I'm not ready for it! Also there is a very strong internal who has temporarily been a principla and a depute before. All is not lost however as I applied for another school at the saem time so might hear from them plus a lot of jobs were issued today to just about to check the teaching website!

Goodness my spelling was appalling on my last post - sorry!

Didn't get the job this week but a few more were advertised last Friday so fingers crossed there's something for me in there! Found out I need to do temporary job in my place 21 days before I get the extra money but the job at the top of the chain isn't being interviewed until end of Feb so I will be entitled then, plus it'll be at least a month until someone is in place (unless temp person gets it which results in my temp post being for even longer than anticpacted.)

Was offered another interivew but it has been postponed until further notice, however was at a conference today and a friend of a friend introduced me to her boss who low and behold is one of the interviewers for this job. She said she'd put a good word in after all every little helps!

First pay for the temp promotion at work so earned an extra £235.95 which should help with reducing voerdraft this month! Also been offered 2 interviews in a fortnight so fingers crossed. Even if I don't get them I've saved money as it means I can't go with class to residential week and therefore don't need to buy outdoors clothes (don't own anything sporty). Alos heard this week that my temp promotion will be at least until 4th April!
