Egg card is starting to come down more, not quite a quickly as I'd hope but still. In the 2 months since making additional payments I've pafe £50 extra on top of my new bigger monthly dd. Most of my money from challenges is in can bank so will get paid at the end of challenge. Totalled up my debt tpday as I do every month and -I'm finally under £30Knot under by much and probably interest on CCs will put me back over but for now it feels fantastic!!!!LBM 03/07 £44k:eek: DFD 31/12/17 :A 12/17 £2545.50

Good luck with paying Egg by the end of the year that will be some achievement... plus £150 'spare' to throw at something else?0 -
Thanks for that mae, i think I am aiming high but needs must. I have once again looked at my over generosity particularly at Xmas and have cut my gift list dramatically this year hoping this will help towards my goal. Here is where the axe has fallen-
Person A - now 18 and decided that, as family tradition goes, kids stop
getting when they are 18
Person B - was not born last Xmas and is sibling of Person A so not
starting with this one, plus I've never clapped eyes on her
Person C and D - are the other siblings og A and B and ahve't seen them
since last summer anf so chop chop chop
Persons E, F, G and H - cousins children whom I've not seen this year,
last year they didn't even send a Xmas card or
give us so much as a thank you so they off the
list too
Persons I and J - friends children who I have finally realised the friend
wouldn't give to mine (if i had any)
Person K and L - same as above but another friend, who I've not seen
since before her baby was born in the spring and
therefore not giving to tiny person I've not even met
It probaby sounds very harsh but should have done along time ago, not starting giving would have been a good idea!
Realistically it'll be more like April before its paid off but I can hope, plus in May my car is apd off and that's anohter £300 to chuck at something else a grand total of £450 every monthe xtra! can't wait feels like I'm iwshing the rest of this year away but I guess I am really to clear up my financial mess especiall as it's drawing closer to target to be debt free.
Anyway long story over, hope you are well mae!LBM 03/07 £44k:eek: DFD 31/12/17 :A 12/17 £2545.50

Well I took a deep breath today, as all the CC interest is now added and .... I am finally sub £30k. It feels good to have less debt than my annual salary. Think I may have to extend that Egg CC target date though but not going to do that until Xmas is actaully here just in case.LBM 03/07 £44k:eek: DFD 31/12/17 :A 12/17 £2545.50

OMG can't believe I came across my diary, can't believe it has been soooooo long since I 'wrote' in it! Reading all my posts has reinvigorated me and I am now dedicated - once again!
Since last posting I've cancelled both CCs replacing them with one HUGE loan. The interest rate is really poor and I'm paying the same amount out as I was to the CCs but at least there is now not only a tunnel but a light. Aside from this I've got a next account and I'm tackling this through DFW challenges - hoping to clear it in 2 months.
My outlook is so much more positive and confident so much so I'm seeing a mortgage advisor next week to explore my 'Right to Buy'. Something I never thought would happen.
Since last diary entry I've also hit my mid-30s and am about to finish my thesis and graduate from uni (again) with my a Masters Degree. I hadn't even started the degree last time I posted but I self funded the 4k - not one penny on the CC
If you read this thanks, MSE really can change your life!
