Online food shop done - £74.38, including 6 bottles of wine! I'd already spent £65 when T£$c0 e-mailed a £13 off £90, I was going to ignore it when I remembered they'd also got £5 off when you spend £25 on french wine. We're not big drinkers or connoisseurs so I managed 6 x £4odd bottles, also ended up getting 5% off 6 bottles so they cost me £5.72 extra in the end! Daughters are now saying I'm an 'extreme couponer' - not quite but glad to stock up for our coming holidays etc.
Off to Buckingham Palace Coronation Festival tomorrow so £200 withdrawn from savings in case we see anything! I'm having major problems deciding what to wear though!
That sounds fab, hope you had a lovely time.. the weather's been perfect for it!!Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Thanks Shala-moo, we had a great day, one for the kids to remember.
We spent around £140 of the cash I took, including tube tickets, and a new family & friends railcard as I forgot to take mine. It needed renewing next month anyway, but I would normally find a discount code somewhere. Still cheaper than paying full price for tickets.
We also spent £200 on a Roberts DAB radio I've been lusting after for a while - the Cath Kidston one! Very expensive for a radio though.
Car has also needed some work - £300 spent on exhaust & brake discs/clamps.
So a very expensive weekend - all money taken from long term savings.
Got up at 1.15am this morning to take DD1 to get the coach for her trip to Poland/Auschwitz. She's called to say they've landed, but I'm going to be in a bit of a state until Wednesday teatime when they're back.

I did the couch to 5k a couple of years ago before the race for life - too hot here to run at the moment.

Err - I do cheat a little and run on a treadmill in a hopefully air-conditioned gym! Can't imagine running outside!:o

it is - we go every year to the same cottage as DH is a creature of habit. He would like to get a holiday cottage up there but that would be a significant investment as a BTL type of thing.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

2nd job payday, £30 to pay for DD2s week of tennis lessons, £25 for DD1s new TV (rest paid for with survey vouchers) & £25 transferred to holiday clothes pot - now -£88.35.
Managed the 1st run of week2 last night, halfway through I nearly gave up but I persevered and made it!Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

Online shop done, under budget - £70, but as I transferred £25 from 2nd job into holiday clothes pot I've left the balance in current account.
Didn't manage the 2nd run of the 2nd week yesterday as feeling under the weather, will carry on program on Monday.
Stripped out DD1s bedroom ready for builders, she's now sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Poor thing.
Taking DD2 to a pool party later, and out for lunch with MIL tomorrow. Also hoping to go on bike ride first thing to keep exercise levels up.
Lot cooler here today - bit of a relief.Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

Just booked Tesco Delivery Plan at £10 per month for next 6 months. Normally I pay £4.50 per week, although I can now have the slighter dearer slot I prefer which is £5.50. Anyway £10 per month gives me 2 free weeks a month.
I've taken this months payment from this weeks food budget but from next month I've added it in as a monthly cost extra to food budget, as food used to be £90 per month, now only £75.
Went to gym last night and completed 2nd run of 2nd week. Hoping to go for a family bike ride tonight and finish week 2 tomorrow night. I am feeling fitter - just wish it would make a difference to my spare tyre!
