I'm so so sorry for your loss.
    Take care of yourself.
  • Thanks alibob :A

Well it gets worse! DH & MIL took DS2 to softplay this afternoon to give me a chance to rest (DS1 was out for the day with Cubs) and DS2 fell and hurt his arm. We thought it was broken so cue another trip to hospital! Honestly, I think we will just blinkin well move in!! 4 hours & an X-ray later, and they popped his elbow back into place. He still won't move or use it though so we have to see how he goes & have an appointment to go back on thurs if its no better. Obviously we have to go back sooner if it gets worse.

Stop the ride I want to get off :(

Oh dear; poor little boy, I expect his arm is sore and bruised. "Soft" play was a bit of a misnomer, wasn't it? Not much you can do except slather his elbow in arnica cream if you've got any and it's not bandaged [or even good ol' Germolene helps if it's the one with a bit of local anaesthetic in], and give him some Calpol to help him get comfortable and sleep.

But maybe he was lucky because he didn't land on his head! :o

So sorry to hear of your loss. That must be so hard to deal with. And then to have your DS2 injure himself aswell, you must be at your wits end. hugs dear one.

  • Today has been a bit better!! I had quite severe pains this morning again but I went back to bed and they wore off. DS2 still won't move or use his arm but he did let me rub it which is an improvement!

I met up with my Mum, Auntie & Grandma for a little while this afternoon (much to my lovely Grandma's disgust who thinks I have bounced back too soon! "You get no medals you know! Its time to look after number one". I love her sooo much! :D). It was nice to be somewhere other than home or hospital though. Xx

  • Thank you Granny & Poohbear. I'm still suffering mc wise & have to go for a scan on Thursday as I don't think I've lost everything yet. We've also been back to the hospital today to have DS2 re xrayed as he still won't move his arm. It's definitely not broken so think he has tissue damage. I dread to think how much my family have cost the NHS!! I might re train as a nurse to give something back!!

I'm so sorry to hear of the awful time you have been having, desperately sad and so much to cope with.

Glad to hear the arm isn't broken, be sure to take care of yourself while you are tending to everyone else x
