  • Sorry Ive not been on for a few days Be Lucky !

So glad to hear that you have the date for DH's MRI Scan.

Your posts have been lovely to read and remarkably jolly considering all the challenges.

You sound totally mad trekking off on that 6 mile walk. You crazy lady, remember you are pregnant ! :rotfl: You sound a bit like me, I decided to trek halfway up a mountain in Spain when I was pregnant with DS1 and no amount of persuation from Mr Pinot NOT to do it would stop me ! Infact the more he told me not to , the more determined I was to keep climbing !

  • You crazy lady

Yup that's me heh heh smiley-whacky109.gifsmiley-whacky115.gifsmiley-whacky098.gifsmiley-excited001.gif.

DH has had his EEG today. 21 electrodes stuck to his head to monitor brainwaves - fingers crossed they found one :rotfl:. We weren't told anything today, the consultant gets the results within 2 weeks along with the MRI results from next monday, but it was pretty straightforward and painless (apart from the £2.60 carpark charge!).

I've had a letter from DWP asking for my last payslip from playgroup and my last 3 payslips from Mr A's. Not sure as to why as I thought the letter dated 8th September meant it was all done and dusted and updated on their system. It's no problem to send them what they want, apart from the fact I never got my final payslip from playgroup, so I've had to send an email chasing it. Fingers crossed someone will actually send it on. It's always difficult after a business folds isn't it?!

Also spent £35 in Mr A's today. Going to keep track of how much I spend on groceries again as it seems to have run away with itself a bit.

Hope everyone is well and not too miserable with this yucky wet weather. Heating is on this afternoon :o.

Hospital car parking fees drive me mad. I paid £3 a couple of weeks ago and I was in and out in 10 mins ! Grr !!

Hospital car park costs are shocking! Very difficult when you are on a limited budget and have a loved one who needs visiting everyday.

My heating is not on yet, I am looking particularly glamorous in a faded to non-descript beige cardi, green and pink striped socks and baggy jeans. Just hope nobody knocks on the door....

yep another hater of hospital car park charges here. When I went for chest xrays last month, 1st hospital I went to don't charge, luckily because they wouldn't see me. 2nd hospital £3 for all day, gave ticket to woman parking, when I left after less than an hour.

OH put heating on tonight. I've been sitting in the cold all week, trying to be frugal, with extra layers on and cold toes. Oh decides he's cold and puts heating on, whilst wearing a t-shirt.

  • Granny that must be really annoying that you have suffered the cold and then grandad undermines all your good deed

Not feeling 100% today so have made a Drs appointment for this afternoon. Feel a bit wobbly and dizzy, shaky and freezing cold even when everyone else is red hot. :(

  • Well my blood pressure is fine, nothing in my urine & I don't have a temperature, so the general diagnosis is that it's just pregnancy related. He also said it was probably to do with stress levels and I should relax more. Erm, when exactly do I fit that in??? :rotfl:

    Hello Be Lucky

Sorry to hear you're not feeling so bright due to the baby - now is the time to forget the meaning of such phrases as "I've got to do the ironing," "really must wash the kitchen floor," "DS' room needs tidying up" etc., - all that stuff can wait until you're safely into the second trimester when hopefully you will start to 'bloom' and feel better. :)

I'm glad to hear your DH's appointments have come through at last; hopefully the consultant will be able to tell you both a bit more about how DH's recovery can be expected to progress. Meanwhile, your comments about him on here will be a useful diary of how he's reacting to the medication.

Are you going to claim Carers Benefit now that you've been told your DH won't be reviewed for another twelve months?
  • Oops I just blinked and lost 3 days on here sorry.

Saturday DH was very panicky in the morning and I was a bit aprehensive about leaving him for a 6 hour shift at work, even though he'd be with his Mum as usual. By the time I got home though his panic had turned to anger and he was a ball of fury. His Mum said he'd been getting wound up over EVERYTHING, but especially the boys. He calmed down a bit by bedtime but he was still very snappy.

On Sunday I spoke to him about it and said I was concerned with his mood swings. It's not good for either of us in 'our conditions'!! He agreed to try to keep a handle on things and we both agreed that we'd go back to the doctors if I still believed it to be an ongoing problem in a couple of days. It's hard enough me going to work feeling ill myself, nevermind worrying how everyone is at home (more than usual!), but more so it's not fair on DH or the boys. On a brighter note, he has been better since then, although today he has been perhaps a little more forgetful than usual.

We went to a friends house this morning for coffee and then the hospital for what we thought was DH's MRI but turned out to be a CT scan. Hopefully the MRI is still to come but need to chase that incase it was ordered incorrectly. Tonight my sister popped in after she finished work and then it was Beavers which is always fun. Time to chill out now though and see what I've missed in diaryland the last few days.

Oh and we've got a leak above one of the lounge windows . Rain is running in :(.
