  • Nice normal day for a change lol. Didn't go in to work as nobody seemed to know why I was on the rota so met the usual family members for coffee. Everyone chipped in for ours so it only cost us 85p :D

Listed 5 items on eBay tonight but I'm bored now so will do the rest tomorrow to make the most of the last free listing day.

Robin ..... I'm so sorry to hear about your son. How on earth do you cope when it's your little one??

..Like a tiger, protecting her cub. ;) Don't be sorry, DS got through all his emergencies and now nobody can tell what he went through - unless he takes off his shirt and displays an impressive array of scars.
DH hasn't had any further seizures thank goodness ..... He's been sent an appointment for an EEG the week after next which should give us a bit more insight, and we are still waiting for the MRI

Shame that wasn't done while he was in hospital - I'd have pushed remorselessly until all the staff had earache..
I'm shattered! ..... Losing my other job has suddenly gone from being a disaster to a godsend

Funny how things work out for the best, isn't it Be Lucky? Especially given your amazing news:
    In other news I'm pregnant!! ..... I think I'm about 5-6 weeks.

Wow! They say babies bring their own luck and that certainly gives your DH a goal - he'll want to be fit enough to help you won't he?
Of all the surprises we've had over the last 2 weeks, it's definitely the best one! Slight OMG how will I cope but mostly I'm cautiously excited. Will feel better at 12 weeks as I'm very conscious of all the stress I'm under at the mo which can't be good.

I am very pleased for you, and hope you're managing to get enough rest, and are eating a good diet. :)
  • *Robin* I'm trying my best with the diet but I go from not being able to stomach anything, to craving anything to do with cheese! I started taking folic acid though the day I found out I was pregnant so that's something at least. As for the MRI in the hospital I did ask if they would do it while DH was in, but they said no as one had already been requested :(.

I didn't post yesterday as I honestly didn't know what I wanted to say. I was very hormonal and up and down in mood. DH was like a bear with a sore head all day, nothing was right or good enough. DS1 was an ungreatful little s*d all day and wound me up no end, but on the bright side the weather was lovely so we were at the beach with family members which I enjoyed.

Today has been more 'normal' and settled, though I have heard that the woman who was going to open the new playgroup after christmas has pulled out, so they are back to the drawing board with that one :(. I don't think they would have taken me on anyway when they found out I was pregnant, but I'm sad that DS2 won't be able to go to playgroup there.

I'm off to my first session of Beavers shortly after the summer holidays. Don't know if I'm looking forward to it or not!! I'll be back later to catch up on everyone's diaries.

It's my birthday tomorrow. I'll be 34 . DS1 will be 8 the day after. Where does the time go?? Xx

Yep that is one of the things with having kids, there is no kidding yourself that you are not getting any older, as the proof of their growing up is there for all to see!

  • Thank you for all the birthday wishes!! Consider yourselves all invited to my party smiley-greet006.gif !

PG, all cake is good cake :rotfl:.

I've had a good day. I got a new mobile phone cover from DH and the boys which is all I wanted. If all goes well I will need new maternity clothes soon so will save the cash for then. I did however get £150 from various family members and some fab presents from friends. I feel much loved smiley-love071.gif. Had a nice bit of retail therapy and then lunch out which was lovely. Got weighed tonight and I gained 3lbs, but I'm blaming that on the big lunch *ahem* :o.

Tomorrow is DS1's birthday and we are having a small party tea for family after school. We are then taking him and 3 of his friends to the cinema on saturday which he is looking forward to.
