  • DH had another fit minutes after my last post so I rang an ambulance & I've been at hospital with him all night. They've admitted him to HDU after a 3rd fit in the hospital. CT scan shows no new bleed in his brain but they are doing more scans and tests. He's been sedated so I've come home as MIL has been here all night with the boys. I feel I must state that I wrote my previous post as I wanted to record the fit but had no pen and paper in my room and didn't want to leave DH incase of another fit, which did happen. I couldn't think where else to write it down.

  • Oh my Goodness , Im not sure I can find the right words here. You must be utterly terrified, I cant begin to imagine how scary that was for you. I could kick myself for not reading your first message last night as I was online. I am so so sorry you are going through this.

Hopefully DH is more comfortable now that he is sedated and they will get to the bottom of why this has happened and quickly.

Thinking of you all today, sending love and hugs xx

Oh honey how awful, you must be beside yourself with worry but just remember he is in the right place now to be looked after and hopefully made well or at least diagnosed. I hope you both have a better day today.

    Lots of love Granny x

  • Hi all, thank you so much for your concern and well wishes.:A

DH was kept in ITU until he was allowed home last night. They performed a lumbar puncture which ruled out any infection such as meningitis and have diagnosed Post Head Injury Seizures (Epiliepsy). He's taking anti-epileptic drugs daily now but we need to inform DVLA about the fits so that means at least 6 more months without being able to drive which he is devastated about. I'm absolutely shattered after managing only 2 hours sleep in about 40 hours and then last night I slept with one eye open incase he had another fit!

Oh lucky, I'm so sorry you're having such a worrying time, you really don't deserve it. I'm glad your OH is okay and at home with you.

Hopefully, you'll get a decent night's sleep and feel more human tomorrow.

Just made all September's debt payments so have updated signature. Creeping slowly towards the 16's! September is my birthday month so I might get a bit extra to put towards debts, however, DS1, my sister and her partner, and a friend all have their birthdays this month also so its an expensive month as well. On top of that I have 3 other people with birthdays that I buy cards but not gifts for. Phew!!

Glad OH is home and that hopefully you'll be able to relax a bit now and get some sleep. It must have been a very worrying time for you and very scary for you both.

Lots of hugs and well wishes Granny x
