  • Thank you fortune smiles and Granny Z. Though Granny it will be a looooooong time before I disappear so much you can't see me!!

Had a good day today. We met a friend at the softplay I have the vouchers for this morning, so that only cost me for the drinks we had in there. This afternoon we met MIL and her friend at a coffee shop with an outdoor play area so the kids had a great time there too. Tonight my sister has been for her tea which was lovely as usual, and DH has been to the cinema with his best friend. He was a bit panicky about going out bless him but he managed. It wasn't like he was on his own either, his mate picked him up and dropped him off but he was still worried about not being with me or his Mum :(.

I also got my holiday pay from the playgroup MSNHeaven-Com(Animated)070.gif. Apparently the payment had failed last time and they hadn't even noticed . Thank god I chased it!

  • Thanks Piq!

Well my last lot of smiley's didn't work very well did they?? I tried Granny's way of sourcing them but I must have done something wrong :o.

Anywho, just having a break from job searching to catch up on everyone's diaries. I think I'm going to ask personnel at job 2 (which I suppose is now job 1!) if there are any permanent extra hours going on any other departments. If the answer is no then I know of a couple of jobs not far from where I live that could be possibilities. 1 is in another supermarket so not sure what the conflict of interest implications could be there, but the other is in a hotel chain working in the bar/restaurant. I bought the local paper today as it's 'job page day' but was sorely dissapointed. I remember when the supplement was a big 40-odd page wedge of 1000+ jobs, but today's was a double page spread only and half of that was adverts . Total waste of 48p :(.

I managed to get to zumba again this morning though, and yet again my neighbour insisted on paying bless her, so that was £3 saved (that I shouldn't really have been spending anyway!). Hopefully I will have another good weight loss this week. I'm working on tuesday so won't be able to get to my normal class, so I'm going to a sunday morning one instead.

    A cannibal and his son

A cannibal and his son are going to look for food. They hide behind some bushes and waited for someone to come by.

After a few minutes, a skinny man comes by. The son says "How about him, dad?" "No," says the father, "he's too skinny."

A short time later, a fat man wanders by. "What about that guy, dad?" asks the son. "Too much cholesterol."

A little later, a pretty, 20 year old lady walks by. The son asks, "Dad, how about her?" The father replies "Yes! Let's take her home and eat your mother!"

  • Today has been a NSD smiley-cool05.gif. First one in AGES!!

The boys and I went to my friends house to see her and her daughter which was lovely, and DH went out for coffee with his Mum.

This afternoon I've tackled the drawers in our bedroom and I'm amazed how much carp I've been hoarding. I now have 2 completely empty drawers and a pile of old clothes to weigh in. The bedroom still looks a mess as we have the pile of botsale stuff in the corner but hopefully we will be able to do a sale in the next few weeks. This sunday is out as DH is going to church with his Mum in respect of the 3rd anniversary of his Dad's death next week.

It's the same with our local paper it used to have a huge jobs supplement. Now it's a page if you're lucky and most of those seem to be in the care sector.

Well done on the NSD and carp clearing!

Well done on the weight loss, that really is a fantastic amount to lose!

We're sorting out bootsale things too, I tend to avoid selling on BH weekends as I find you get less buyers as they normally do sales on both the Sunday and Monday. Maybe next week will be better, it also looks like rain all this weekend and there is nothing worse than you and all your stuff getting soggy!

  • That's interesting re bank hol bootsales BC, I thought it might have been the opposite with people having the extra day to claim their lie in! Good job we can't do it tomorrow anyway, especially with the rain as you say. Never mind, it's free listing on eBay this weekend so will try my luck on there instead.

  • Got weighed this morning at my sl1mm1ng w0rld consultant's other class, as I'm working on tuesday evening and will miss my own class. I've lost another 1.5lbs making 8lbs in 12 days smiley-whacky109.gif. It means I have 9 days until my next weigh in though so that's a long time to be good. I have every intention of doing it though. Plus I got this weeks weigh in for free under the refer a friend scheme, and I got the magazine free too :D.

This afternoon we went to a local wood/lake type area with MIL and her dog which was nice for the boys to run off some energy. Afterwards we called in to Mr T's and bought a load of whoopsied items. I always find it satisfying to get things cheap :o.

DH was quite down and panicky yesterday but seems better today.
