I would not dream of it. Your cake was made with all the kindness Mrs PG has to offer and I could never upstage that.

However.......

Hello Be Lucky

I'm glad you had a lovely birthday, and hope DS1's day was fun too - still got his trip to look forward to at the weekend, hasn't he?
I'm trying my best with the diet but I go from not being able to stomach anything, to craving anything to do with cheese! I started taking folic acid though the day I found out I was pregnant so that's something at least.

Well done on remembering folic acid! It is hard eating properly in the first trimester, but I'm sure you know the ropes by now - keep a biscuit by your bed if your DH isn't good at bringing you toast and tea before you get up.. Keeping track of what you are eating - cheese is good! (My 'thing' was always tomato juice, which wasn't great food value; cheese is much better and there are plenty of different types and ways to eat it).
As for the MRI in the hospital I did ask if they would do it while DH was in, but they said no as one had already been requested :(.

?? And the fact that he'd been admitted as an emergency didn't make it more urgent to see the result, in order to plan the next stage of treatment most effectively?
..Maybe I'm more 'shouty' than you are, but that reply would have incensed me.

Still, it can't be long before the EEG is repeated, and hopefully you've got the MRI appointment by now. Did you ask the doctors how long they expect it will take DH to get used to his new meds?

As a matter of interest, do you and DH have EPAs? If not, please think about getting them done - it shouldn't make any difference as to whether the doctors will listen to you [as wife you are NoK], but if there's an emergency, the Attorney does appear to have more influence (such is my experience anyway).

Anyway, hope you're having a lovely day today; maybe there's even still some :bdaycake: to munch on. :)

He had a fabulous day thank you and is thrilled to be 8!! It started rather early though when he thought it was time to get up at 3am!! I sent him packing and he then got up at 6am so still a very early start!! He did very well for gifts and was star of the show all day at school (he's the oldest in his class so they were all in awe that he's 'proper grown up' :rotfl:). We had some family round for a tea party last night and yes, he still has his cinema trip to look forward to at the weekend.

I'm not as sickly as I was with the other 2 but I have 'gone off' a few things and can go from starving to not wanting anything or vice versa in a matter of minutes. With DS1 my craving was ice cream and pease pudding (only had together once :o) and with DS2 it was boiled sweets, again not the healthiest! I'm very tired all the time and have very sore b00bs, but otherwise I'm well.

Still no MRI appointment . EEG is next thursday. DH has to increase his meds again on Sunday (after 2 weeks) and will stay on the higher dose for a further 2 weeks then increase again. They will then see how he is coping on the highest dose before deciding if it needs increased again. He has had no side effects thankfully but he is also very tired all the time and still sore from the seizure.

Thats a good point about EPAs and no we don't have them. I will look into it. Yes there is cake left smiley-eatdrink054.gif.

We got the letter back from DH's benefit re us filling in the 47 page form to tell them I no longer have my playgroup job. Basically it looks like we get nothing extra so we are now down £70 per week. I need to ring them to clarify that its correct but I need DH to do security and he's having a lie down at the minute. Hopefully this time the DLA application will be agreed and I can claim carers allowance so we can go back to what we were on before (ie 2 pennies to rub together rather than just 1!).

Hope everyone is well Xx

• I'm ok thanks, just a little nauseous but not physically sick. I seem to be quite windy :o though.

My cousin and her son have been here tonight which was lovely as I don't see her often enough. It was good to catch up. Time to chill now :D.

• Today we took DS2 to a surest@rt thing which was free, and a good chance for him to mix with other little ones as he no longer goes to playgroup. We then went to the cinema to buy the tickets for tomorrow. I used some 'free' tickets that I'd ordered with the points I've collected for scanning my shopping to pay for the 2 adult tickets, but it still cost £24 for the kids tickets .

We have DH's MRI appointment :T:j. It's a week on monday. I also called DWP as we haven't heard anything back after DH's medical at the beginning of August, and apparently he passed the medical and is staying in the Work Related Activity Group. This part is brilliant news after getting all worked up about how no one is passing medicals at the minute. DH gets a premium of £28 per a week for being in the WRAG which he has had for about 6 months, but they now count it as part of our houehold income which is why we wont be getting any more after I've lost my job at playgroup.
